Fletcher Hotel Paleis Stadhouderlijk Hof  

Ex-palace converted to a hotel. Amazing rooms although you should not expect anything modern. It's a very old building with very high ceiling and great architecture. Highly recommended for the price!

The hotel is really at the centre of the city. It is very historical.

The location was perfect, right in the centre where shops and restaurants were.

The suite was very minimal, no amenities in the bathroom for that exclusive feeling, the room had a few items, it didn't feel like a suite.

Everything as expected in a hotel of this superior category: the quiet lounge for light refreshments upon arrival; the tastefully decorated interior and the very spacious room overlooking the garden in its Indian summer splendour; the friendly and efficient service in lounge, garden and restaurant. A very good and reasonably priced dinner on offer to celebrate the restaurant's first year in service. To me it was the perfect 'historic hotel' for a short stay to commemorate Frisia's academic and intellectual past in Leeuwarden and Franeker. .

Don't ever stay here!

When I got to the hotel I was asked if I'll stay more than just one night that was in the original booking. Then, after booking three extra nights, they kicked me out at the second one because they had an overbooking and they said was Booking.com's fault, wich is a lie because I booked the etra nights at the hotel. Then they send me to the Eden Hotel where they charge their rate (more than the Fletcher's) and no responsability for this awful hotel. Please dont ever stay there, they dont know how to give you nice service. It's not a top hotel. Also, it's a lie they have free wi-fi, the dont!!!! You have to pay!!!!

A very comfortable bed with good pillows. Beautiful clean room with roomy bathroom/shower and attentive and friendly staff.

Lack of available nearby parking facilities...although the walk back from the public parking place was enjoyable. Beautiful architecture on the walk back to the hotel.

This hotel used to be the palace of the Frisian "Stadhouder". No room is equal to the other, which makes it very special. We had an excellent room with a lot of space. I highly recommend the hotel! We'll surely come back.

Het hotel ligt op een prima lokatie voor een stedentrip.

De kamers gelegen aan de voorzijde van het hotel zijn nogal gehorig, zodat het vertier van de bezoekers van de nabijgelegen bars en terassen goed te horen is. Het hotel bood voor een aantrekkelijke prijs een vijfgangen diner aan in het eigen restaurant Us Heit. Jammer dat de gerechten die koud geserveerd moesten worden lauw waren en de gerechten die warm de tafel hadden moeten bereiken inmiddels koud waren. Waren er misschien teveel gasten in verhouding tot de keukenbrigade en het bedienend personeel?

Kamer was groot, schoon en compleet, waterkoker thee, koffie, perfekt. Diner was perfekt, was een aanbieding maar dit eten was boven alle verwachtingen, in berlijn bij margaux gegeten, en meerdere uitstekende restaurants bezocht maar dit was beter. wordt beslist overgedaan, alles ook de bediening was perfekt, niet te nadrukkelijk aanwezig, en alles werd uitgelegd. bovendien is dit een hondvriendelijk hotel, en kon onze hond gewoon op de kamer blijven, wij zagen meerdere mensen met honden en toch was het heel rustig. de kamers zijn geluid vriendelijk alles was goed.
