We chose this hotel because it accepts dogs. It seemed quite strange to us to be walking around with a dog in a very nice hotel, but it was perfect for us, and the staff were very welcoming to humans and canine alike. Leeuwarden is an interesting place to visit - lots of history plus a good shopping street (something for everyone!). There is a set menu for dinner, but if this doesn't suit, there are plenty of other restaurants in town, so not a problem. |

Good restaurant. Nice building inside and outside. In city center. Bar & Restaurant also in quiet garden. Stepping in the whirlpool is difficult. |

the hotel was close to the center of the city. It was pleasant. Staff was friendly and helpful. This was a former palace and I didn't think the price was worth it. I'm sure I had the cheapest room, which wasn't cheap. I was on the ground floor by the street and there were people coming by at all hours talking and laughing which I could hear. The bedspread was dirty and had burn holes in it. The value was not there for the price. |

Location in city centre; walking distance to restaurants and shops. Friendliness of hotel staff."Royal" atmosphere of the hotel: rooms with high ceilings give spacious impression. Room at such (junior suite) was larger than other hotels we know in Leeuwarden. Comments from earlier guests about the carpets that could be renewed are correct. Although stained, carpet of room was clean.Some cheap solutions (plastic cups in room, individually pre-packed breakfast items) but understandable and acceptable in view of the very reasonable hotel prices. |

The hotel is a beautiful building, very nice decorated. The rooms are very nice and pretty; the bid dining room, the room for the breakfast and the celebration room are amazing. The hotel is very central, in the main square of Leeuwarden. The breakfast is buffet and inclusive of all.Personnel were very cordial, always available to assist us for every need. |

Schitterend gebouw, behulpzaam personeel, mooie omgeving, historische sfeer parkeren is lastig, meubilair in suite versleten en out-dated. Techniek van bubbelbad werkte niet goed. |

Wij zijn er eerder geweest; toen in de grote kamers mett de oude vloerbedekking. Deze keer hadden we een wat kleinere kamer in het gebouw ernaast: zeerr modern ingericht, nieuwe vloerbedekking, schoon gevoel Maar liefst 3 lampen kapot: boven spiegel in badkamer, een leeslamp bij bed en een plafondlamp. Verwarming in badkamer kon niet aan; receptie gevraagd die de ketel zou resetten. Heeft niet geholpen. Gaat de verwarming in het hele hotel soms op een vaste datum aan en uit? |

In erster Linie die Lage ist hervorragend. Gesamteindruck, einschließlich Architektur und (inneres) Ambiente haben gefallen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war mittelmäßig für dein Hotel dieser Kategorie. Das Businesszimmer allenfalls drei Sterne wert, z.B. schmales allzu weiches Bett und direkte Außenlage (Straßenfront). |
