Against an 18th century background you can enjoy a royal dinner or princely lunch. For companies from 10 to 350 persons at conferences we can put together an arrangement suiting your wishes as we also have rooms suitable to hold meetings, seminars, presentations and parties.

The Yellow, Blue and Nassauroom take you way back in history. Those beautiful rooms retained their authentic character. In the Nassauroom, with its beautiful old portraits of the Frisian viceregents, nowadays couples are actually wedded. This means that the bride and groom can choose to have the complete wedding day take place under one roof!

Food & beverage

Every day, from 17.00 hours till 21.30 hours, you can enjoy many splendid dishes in our restaurant.
When the weather is nice you can have your dinner at the terrace in the garden.

Room information

The First Floor of the hotel comprises twelve rooms, four of which might more aptly be named romantic suites, featuring four- poster beds en Jacuzzis. The attic accommodates ten so- called living rooms. Nine of these comprise a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom with a full-size bath. These are suitable for anyone planning to stay any longer than a few days. If you would prefer to stay in one of our suites or living rooms, please ask reception about the surcharges applicable.

The hotel is a beautiful building, very nice decorated. The rooms are very nice and pretty; the bid dining room, the room for the breakfast and the celebration room are amazing. The hotel is very central, in the main square of Leeuwarden. The breakfast is buffet and inclusive of all.Personnel were very cordial, always available to assist us for every need.

Dining was good, especially the breakfast.Comfortable beds.

Food service room to restaurant - doors left open gave a direct view from the lobby and corridor - bad. Hotel is 'tired' and needs new carpets and redecoration etc. Carpet on our stairway was badly stained (a murder committed, perhaps?).

very good breakfast. comfortable and quiet room. courteous staff, most of whom spoke english well enough to assist us with directions. excellent location.

the sink in the bathroom did not drain well. we reported it, but no staff looked at or fixed the sink. a minor inconvenience, but i expected more from such an expensive hotel. everything else was fine.

This was advertised as a palace ..our room was totally charmless!...We felt the hotel was not being very well attented to..also the parking was difficult..a walk and then an underground garage........

Dat we voor de deur konden parkeren en dat de auto na check out nog even mocht blijven staan. Goed uitgerust ontbijt. Goede bedden.

Dat er 4 euro boekingskosten op de rekening stonden - deze hebben we betaald. Daar is in de reservering bij booking.com geen opmerking over gemaakt. Tijdens het ontbijt hebben wij 1 keer iemand van de receptie gezien - verder geen personeel. Kamer rook niet helemaal fris, konden het niet helemaal plaatsen.
