Area information
In the quiet and green environment of the hotel there are of course plenty of opportunities for leisurely activities. The peaceful countryside of the province of Groningen offers many good places for walking or bike-riding. Immediately to the north of Winschoten you may find the 'Blauwestad' (Blue City), a newly established residential and recreational area. The 16th century fortress town Bourtange is also worth visiting. In the old town centre of Winschoten you can go shopping or have a nice drink at an outdoor café. The city of Groningen can also be easily reached by car or public transportation.
