It's more like guest houses, but comfortable for stay. The staff also helpful. They lent me a travel adapter. A bit far from the centre, need to travel by tram (takes about 15 minutes and the tram ticket costs 2.5 euros per journey. The breakfast is too simple.

Very kind staff always ready to help and welcoming atmosphere. There is no elevator in the hotel. It's not ideal for someone traveling with a lot of luggage.

I liked the good location, in a clean neighborhood, close to tram lines, and a short walk to the coastline. My room was interesting, a reasonable size, and good daylight. I found moving luggage up three flights of narrow winding stairs difficult.

Free internet. Good bed. Value for money. Nothing. It's clean, quiet and cheap and offers free internet. What more would one want?

I would not describe this as a Hotel, it was a nice b& B. On arrival I was greeted at the top of a very steep and narrow stairs by a Lady who I presume was the owner, but no introductions where made. I had a tiny room without a bathroom, that was shared and on the corridor. My room was very small, but very clean. I had a great nights sleep and the breakfast was very good. The owners have two dogs, one very big one, and a smaller one, the bigger one is a bit intimidating when it barks at you and moves towards you.But otherwise it was very pleasent and I would recommend it.

A cozy hotel in a smart area of Den Haag. About 5 mins walk from the tram stop and a 10/15 minute ride into the city centre. Friendly, pleasant owners. Decent buffet breakfast. All in all a decent good value place to stay.

The Staten is a great alternative option for visitors to the World Forum, being only 15 mins walk away. A budget hotel, but very friendly and comfortable. I would certainly use again. Some rooms can be up three flights of pretty narrow stairs - could be a problem for some...

I most certainly enjoyed my stay at Staten Hotel. This hotel was precisely as described, like staying in the home of a friend. Location is great, room clean and spacious, a wonderful breakfast, and a most accomodating staff. I would happily stay at the Staten Hotel during my future visits to The Hague:-) Dan

Family-run. Lovely, cosy Dutch breakfast room. Nice, quiet bedroom. I had the double bedroom at a reduced price. On the Scheveningen side of den Haag, so bus access from same street to beach with 21 bus, 15 mins. (Or tram). Situated in pleasant residential area, with cafes and shops. Could not communicate with lady who was looking after hotel there on Sunday pm when I wanted some info; otherwise family always there. A tram ride from Central Station (No 17, labelled Statenkwatier), too far to walk.

Clean, nice safe neighborhoood, friendly hosts, Iron in the room My room was extremely s'mall. I suppose you get what you pay for but I hadn't expected my single room to be so small (4-5 sq metres?) I could barely move around and didn't have the space to layout my luggage. Other rooms I understand are much larger. I caught a glimpse of one which looked fine. Breakfast was ok but I was only entitled to some eggs and toast the second day. I think normally it is a cold buffet which was good. My bed was a bit uncomfortable. It tilted towards the floor on one side. Summary: I would definitely go back to the Staten but not to that single room even if it is the cheapest room in the house!

It's a lovely little hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff very gentle and caring. The hotel is situated on a shopping street in a convenient location. A very good choice to stay at! :-)

Traditional Dutch family-run hotel with good breakfast. Although I booked a room without bathroom, I ended up with a room with a very small en-suite (at no extra cost). Neighbourhood is fine for shopping etc, but don't expect a vibrant night-life.

chose the hotel for the location. Thought the reviews were overrated. Nothing against a budget hotel, but I found the price did not match the quality of the hotel. Staff was reasonably friendly, Wi-fi worked, breakfast ok, but nothing special. Had stayed the night before in much better hotel in Enschede for the same price.
