Located right in the middle of the famous Vondelpark - the green heart of Amsterdam - this Stayokay hostel offers practical, up-to-date accommodation at competitive rates.

Backpackers and budget travellers will certainly appreciate the excellent facilities of Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark. This modern HI hostel is partly located in a monumental chalet, from which you have a stunning view of the park.

The shared rooms of various sizes and twin rooms with bunk beds are all equipped with their own shower, toilet and washbasin. Enjoy convenient services, such as Wi-Fi access, the launderette, electronic locks, lockers and safes. You can unwind in the on-site Brasserie Bite & Drink.

Room information

The rooms with comfortable bunk beds all have private sanitary facilities and electronic locks. Every guest has his own cupboard in the room, which can be locked with a padlock (bring your own lock or buy one at the reception). Furthermore, every bed has its own bedlight. All rooms are non-smoking. The beds are provided with bed linen. Towels can be bought at the reception or you can bring your own.

Area information

At walking distance from the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum, not to mention right next to the lively square of Leidseplein, this is a strategic location. You can easily explore the bustling, historical city centre.

The hostel provides tourist information and discount tickets to make this even easier.

Important information

Please be aware of the following:

1. Hostelling International members will receive EUR 2,50 discount per person per night.
2. If you arrive after 18:00: At 18:00 on the day of your arrival we will charge your credit card for the cost of the first night of your stay.
3. Check-in is possible from 7:30. However, the rooms are not available until 14:00 (luggage lockers available).

Padlocks for the luggage lockers inside the bed rooms and towels can be bought at the reception for EUR 3.50 (or you can bring your own, of course).

In order to assign the right dormitory room, please mention your sex (male or female) in the comments field on the reservation form.

Please note: the maximum length of stay is 7 nights.

Lot of space inside the hostel, very well situated in Amsterdam

Small room of just 4 beds. Buffet breakfast included. Quiet hostel. Great location for museums

location, price, value

We booked sole occupancy and paid extra for security reasons but the hostel then allowed another to use the room when we were out. Nothing was taken but v disappointing.

Personnel. They were very friendly and helpful.

The common area to the rooms was not clean. There was mud all over and there was a sign saying it was wet, but it wasn't wet. It stayed that way for the two nights I stayed there. Also, if someone stays in a hotel like this, it would be nice to recommend the person to bring things to take a shower, soap to wash your hands and a towel. I didn't even think about bringing that.

The hotel staff is very helpful. I have to catch my flight as early as 8am in the morning and she assisted me with the tram/train schedule. Also the hostel is perfectly located, very near the tram (Leidseplein). The breakfast is also fair enough.

In close range of main sightings, museums and park. Good breakfast buffe. Friendly staff.

A lot of shouting and screaming and running the halls late at night (was there at the same time as many school classes).
