Location is just perfect

The staffs are so friendly and responsive, when we arrive, they upgrade my room to Junior Suite, which is really spacious and with free internet.

This hotel was wonderful! It had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in at a hotel. The staff was great! It is an easy walk from the train station. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Being in the center downtown was a plus as you don't think of transportation

Room was expensive for just staying in Amsterdam. I could have stayed for at least 30% less with decent hotels if they were free!!!

They have charged my ccard twice - first time thru my visit there (without my confirmation) and also they forced me to pay full bill for my staying there once more (the amounts were ~ the same). They told me, that the first charge was 'simply blocking of the amount', but the money were actually written off from my account. I have not received my money back yet. Be careful, based on my experience, that you actually need to have 2 x booking amount on your card - they said that this is the police of their Company. Totally ludicrous.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the Dam Square. One can reach all places very easily.

The first day I checked in the hotel I was given a room on the back side , no view and the window was facing the shaft. Very suffocating. To make matters worse the carpet was wet and stinking. When I talked to the reception they curtly informed that may be it was cleaned and not dried properly, no sorry no nothing above all I threatened to complain and I was told please go ahead and told me the feed back form I'd in the black folder under the desk . I requested for a room change but catogoricaly informed that that was the only room available. Next day morning again I requested the respection for a room Change. She nicely searched the records and came up with room that could be swapped. I handed her the key and she promised that the luggage would be shifted by moon. We left for the day and when I cme back after a long day a guy on the desk informed that there was no room . I lost my head and in a cool but stern voice told him to have look because the room was already allotted to me by the morning girl at the desk. He was least bothered and handed over the old key to me. This time I raised my voice a bit. He then comes up wit a room into which I shifted .... a fantastic room with a great view of the Dam rock. What annoyed me the most was that all at the reception staff except the morning girl were rude and they made no moves to at least show some concern . I would only recommend this hotel to friends if the management promises not to keep guest into pigeon holes inspite of taking a lot of money for the room.

I have nothing but praise for the hotel and its very helpful and friendly staff. It is in an ideal location for exploring Amsterdam and although it is in the middle of everything we heard no noise in our room.

The Hotel is right at Dam Square! Fantastic location! Very friendly and helpful staff! Fantastic breakfast! With Plenty of choices and stays open till 11:00 am on weekends!

Relatively quiet.

Twice I asked for help, including adding an extra night. Each time I was asked if I could wait for the next person on shift to help. I would have expected things to be handled immediately. Worse, I made the booking for another night and it din't go into the system. The person who did it couldn't even recall.

Convenient location in city centre

Difficulty of access with a car and hence unloading luggage. Good help from staff mostly overcame this.

Location, which was on the heart of Amsterdam

location - close to restaurants, shops, train station, tourist attractions. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Juice and water always available at reception.

The location was ideal for shopping. The bed and chairs were very comfortable.

The room was very noisy.

On arrival being welcomed with hot towels to refresh ourselves after our journey. The spacious bedroom with good facilities including a Nespresdo machine. Comfortable, large double bed, although far too big really and friendly, accessible staff. The location was also very good in relation to the railway station, water taxis, cruise boats and shops. It was almost literally on the corner of Dam Square whic was full of noisy fairground rides and lots of families in attendance. However, as soon as we entered the hotel we were not able to hear any of these noises. We would certainly consider staying there Gain Znd recommending it to others.

Lack of Fred wireless access in our bedroom but this was compensated for by the computers in the business suite which could be use free of charge including a printer.

Room is small

The costs just kept escalating. At first it was Euro120, then add tax, then the final bill was 184 after I'd had some chocolate and a coke from the mini-bar. Nothing special in the rooms but staff very helpful. You pay for location and anything else they can squeeze out of you.

Staff at the hotel were amazingly friendly and any query was quickly solved! Thanks for such an amazing stay in Amsterdam!

Everything was good...easy to use

Breakfast was a bit under expectation,it was okay but not as good as expected, limited and not as hospitable as the rest of the hotel......weird!
