Elizabeth, the owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The location was excellent and we enjoyed our breakfast in the garden each day.

The hotel was charming, a real home from home. Just a couple of minutes from the towns main sights but extremely peaceful. The decor was absolutely beautiful with a wonderful garden. Elisabeth and her staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend Hotel Synopsis to everyone we know. Thankyou.

Perfect for anyone looking for a home away from home. It comes with free wifi, home cooked breakfast and the room is nicely decorated with best comfort in mind. Not forgetting the ever-gracious and helpful host - Elisabeth with many tips on the places to visit in Amsterdam.

A little more landscaping at the garden will make this place perfect- perfect. Maybe, grow some herbs and Holland tulips to enhance the overall atmosphere at the garden?

A very high level of comfort and service, convenient location - to all the places in the city inteersnyh walk or drive, peace and quiet in the room, perfect cleanliness and service, great breakfast - quite a varied and tasty. In general - the coziness and mnogozvezdny service. Hotel owner above all praise!

Beautiful little gem of a hotel. Very clean, interesting artwork and furnishings. Lovely garden to enjoy. Great location with access to tram line and easy walking neighborhood. Friendly staff, breakfast made to order. A historic canal house brought into the 21st century with great taste and design. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I liked everything about this hotel. It is in a very convenient location. Situated in a quite side road. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel. The owner is very nice and helpful. The room is absolutely immaculate and has got a very comfortable bed with tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was also included in the price.

If you are looking for a splendid location and personalised non A4 format, then look no further. This hotel offers a taste of living in a canal house dating from 1725, with attention to detail laid on by the host and owner - Elisabeth de Witte.

Elizabeth, the proprietor. She made you feel like her home was your home. She was gracious in every way. I fell in love with her garden. It was so evident of the love and pride she put into making it so beautiful.

Owner of the hotel, Elisabeth, was lovely-very helpful and guiding. Room is big and spacy, very clean. We had also our own terrace where we enjoyed our great breakfast every morning. Street of the hotel is quiet, but still in walking distance from all the main attractions. We really liked the place.

Absolutely everything was catered for from the bathroom facilities to the bedroom, you couldn't ask for a single thing more - loved the coffee machine and the yummy chocolates provided daily. The beakfast garden was beautiful - the whole place immaculate! The host Elisabeth was a charming and knowledgable lady and provided excellent information from the best way to get there to all the sighseeing in the area.

Location of this small boutique hotel is second to none. We stayed in a first floor room facing the beautiful courtyard garden, with french door opening onto a balcony. A lovely room tastefully decorated and very quiet and cozy. The owner Elizabeth is extremely helpful and full of knowledge of her city. A definite recommendation to all travellers who enjoy a little bit of class.

The location of this luxury b+b was excellent-in a quiet canal area within walking distance of many attractions and with the tram a few minutes away. The room -the Garden Room was spotlessly clean with provision of robes,slippers,kitchen area with tea,coffee and minibar and also little choc and biscuit treats.We enjoyed our welcome drink of cava on the balcony area accessed from our room overlooking the garden-fine compensation for the lack of a bathtub in the bathroom! Elizabeth - the owner was welcoming and approachable -spending time to answer questions and providing directions and recommendations with patience even though we arrived early - late am- and the staff were still preparing the rooms. Breakfast was taken in the kitchen -was hoping to have this in the garden but weather against us.We completed a tick list of choices such as breads,yogurts,preserves etc on our arrival to allow Elizabeth to provide just what we would like -food was fresh and well presented.- Loved the raisin bread! Would recommend this hotel for it's individual, relaxing and friendly atmosphere-so much nicer than a large chain hotel!

Charming B&B in 1700's canal house. Extraordinary service provided by owner Elizabeth de Witte who prepared our delicious and beautiful breakfast in the garden,and assisted us with city directions and recommendations for dinner. Our room #2 was large and had a door to the blooming garden. There was even a small kitchenette to prepare coffe tea or soup. Great location opposite the Hermitage Museum and close enough to other important sites. We could not have been happier with this choice of places to stay!

Words can't describe the experience we had whilst staying at the Synopsis. Simply put, this hotel is the best 'boutique hotel' we've ever stayed during our trips to Europe. Elizabeth is an excellent and delightful host. All requests were met with the utmost of courtesy and professionalism. The room was so beautifully presented and it contained more than what was expected. From the coffee machine to the little fully equipped galley kitchen, the hotel offered the lot and more. The breakfast was the best we've ever had, the selection of freshly cut fruit on offer together everything else was a great way to start each day.

This hotel was wonderful. More like a b&b than hotel. Delightful owner/manager who was very helpful. Loved the garden room despite the rain for much of our stay. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Having a computer to use for free was an added benefit. Breakfast was delightful and prepared to our desires and time schedule. Location was very handy to many sites and the metro tram was within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

My only negative comment would be that one guest was smoking outside our room, despite the fact that this was supposed to be a non- smoking facility.

Elizabeth was a great host and very willing to assist with any enquiries. Our courtyard room was very comfortable and very homely. Being from Australia we enjoyed the feeling of outside space. The room was very well appointed, with a kitchenette, iron and ironing board, comfortable bathroom, desk and table and chairs, as well as two lounge chairs. Enjoyable breakfasts are served either in garden, kitchen or room service. Easy to walk to anywhere in Amsterdam, and also canal rides and bus tours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Elizabeth and have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Synopsis to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

It is a fantastic quiet boutique hotel. Small, very friendly and comfortable. I would recommend the Garden rooms - beautiful - tastefully decorated. Elizabeth - the owner was lovely. Really friendly, helpful and informative. Thank you for making our stay a lovely one

During our stay we enjoyed comfort, well-designed room, location, breakfast and friendly climate.

This a wonderful, tiny, luxury hotel (really a b&b) in a quiet canalside location. We have stayed here previously and would stay again.

Extremely nice small hotel (only 3 rooms) with very personal and friendly service. Place from where you just do not want to leave, but explore all the possibilities in and around the hotel, wait the garden to bloom throughout spring and summer, visit all the restaurants nearby (very near to the area, where a lot of different native cuisine restaurants are located). Almost in the heart on Amsterdam, but still very peaceful, quiet and beautiful area - if you do not mind walking a little, then much better place to be than exactly in the middle. If you do not like walking then tram and metro not far away. Too bad that we stayed so short. Highly recommended, lucky if available!

Small hotel with only 4 rooms! If you enjoy good location (minutes away from Metro and shopping area) and quite place to stay, this is right choice for you! Very nice garden and pretty big room (for Amsterdam) as well! You do not need your computer, because they heve in every room included.

They charge extra for fried eggs and salmon for breakfast?!
