location is the best, the hotel is 5 minutes away of the Dam square. Didn't notice that hotel doesn't have stars... In fact it's a hostel for the originals....

feel sorry to book this hotel, the pictures were nice. The entrance looks like a public toilet, no breakfast, no facilities in the room, and the design that attracted on photos is not the same ! they say, they have rooms from 1 to 5 stars .. our one was "4 star", and it was the worst "4 star" room I have ever had in my life. Highly not recommended !

Excellent location

The room we had was not very private as it was just above the street level. The curtains looked make shift and had to be kept closed to allow for some privacy.

The overall feel of the place was great. Friendly staff, awesome facilities and great location. Couldn't ask for anything more.

As we came for the kings inaururation we booked and paid 3 month in advance. 2 weeks before arrival we asked and where confirmed room in the front to see the activities. Upon arrival we were told rooms not availabele, only the more expensive upgrade would get us room in the front.So we paid, a very old hotel trick, had not expected these kind of shenanegans, will not recomend to anyone.should get the money back!!!

Absolutely central location. Greatly designed unique room, although quite basic in amenities, but still nice and comfy. Nice atmosphere.

Free WiFi was so slow that it was actually unusable.

Rooms in the facade to main street are incredibly noisy. Impossible to sleep.

The location was very good only 5 minutes walk from central station in one direction and Dam Square in the other. The room was extremely comfortable if a bit small. Bed was one of the best that I have ever slept in.

The price was more than you would expect for this standard of hotel - the most that I have ever paid in 10 years of regular travelling to Amsterdam

Booking.com made a shambles of our booking which took us almost an hour to resolve on the day we checked in

the staff were excellent, the rooms were cosy and simple, the location was great

had to ask for kettle/iron etc but no problems at all

The hotel is very central; you are literally situated in the middle of the Damrak. The beds were super comfy, even in the 3* room we stayed in and the pillows were really soft!

I was expecting a slightly bigger room for what we paid but it was quite small, the view out the window was of another wall! There were also some very random noises; we were quite close to the reception area. We couldn't hear any street traffic but weird banging and strange noises in the morning time!

Hotel is centrally located to everything from venues to transport. Staff very helpful. Bed was a good size and the wet room.

The heater is covered by the window sill, preventing circulation room was very cold. There is also no carpet on floor, so coming out of warm bathroom onto a cold floor was just bearable.

Staff were friendly and really helpful! Really clean hotel and very good location!

As everybody said, great location, 300 meters from the Central Station and Dam Square Next to all facilities (whatever shopping you like ;) ) Nice decoration, we got the 'Arabic Style' room as on the picks.

The room was small though (12 m² including bathroom), so if you are a little bit claustrophobic, I would not recommend it :) (we could open the window) For a short stay (we did 2 days) it is good but maybe not for a week.

Great bang for buck. Perfect location. Nice rooms, but the 2 stars can get a bit small for more than 1 night. Free wifi.

The train journey back to the airport

On the web site they advertise rooms with a bath or shower, after spending a large amount of money booking a superior room & specifying a bath I was told that baths only come with a 5 star room which is completely different from the web site. So I thing its a con.

Welcoming was very Nice. Bed as well as balcony were also Amanzing.

Not all the facilities and services (like hair dryer) were available for a 5 stars room!!!

It is dramatic to me! They have smallest reception and elevators, which gave me a lot of pressure on my arriving late with unkind taxi driver. but i feel like the clean and bright corridor and well-designed room.

No problem to me, but not possible to pay by cash for the room!

The most comfortable beds ever! Perfect location close to everything! Funny rooms with minimalistic design. Good value for money! Like! :)
