The location was superb, museums, casino and tram in walking distance, the brekafast was nice and the room very clean and well-decorated
Not enough space in the room
To be able to walk between the museums and the hotel in less than 100 metres was fantastic. Well placed also for strolling through the centre. Tram on doorstep. Quiet. Lovely, light room with high ceiling. Very clean shower and loo.
Breakfast was included, but a bit basic: tinned fruit and nothing cooked except hard boiled eggs. Still at the price we paid it was excellent value.
Small, but tidy and modern room with some cool design touches to make me feel like i was staying at much pricier hotel. Service was friendly and helpful! Extremely convenient location in a quiet, safe neighborhood, within a short walk of the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. Nice breakfast buffet - not lavish, but good.
Room is quite tiny -- I'm only 5'1" and only used one of the two twin beds in the room, so I was fine -- but it might be too small for sleeping, storing stuff for a larger, wider person. Also, the walls were quite thin. I could hear the person in the room next to me coughing and wheezing for most of the night. Bring headphones or earplugs if you're sensitive to noise.
WiFi was free. Fantastic location on a quiet street. Small but very decent selection at breakfast buffet.
- Proximity to Attractions - Proximity to public transportation
- The tight squeezed corridors - Poor breakfast - Staff friendliness & Service
What a terrific location! Steps to several museums, including the Rijk;s plus a terrific high-end shopping area. The cozy room was modern, bright and tastefully furnished. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and I appreciated the young man who helped carry my bag down the steep flight of stairs to the sidewalk.
The lobby badly needs a make-over which would include removal of the animal corpse's mounted on the walls and incorporated as furniture legs. The dingy entrance way is reminiscent of a scarey retro madhouse...
helpful and friendly staff. WiFi is free, with decent signal on 3rd floor. Comfortable bed in nicely decorated room. Tram stop and Rijksmuseum are at a 2 minutes walk. Located in a quiet area of the centre. Very good value for money!
Breakfast is extremely Dutch-style. Which is okay, but boiled eggs as the only "warm" option is probably a bit too sober.
Uncomfortable bed Cold room. No thermostat Noisy
Breakfast was included and was reasonably good. Quaint older building.Location was convenient for walking to museums, restaurants; in a nice neighborhood.
There was very loud construction going on outside our window. Small rooms in the basement should be much cheaper.
Very close to everything!
Old and not very attractive. Strange people around. Definitely way too expensive. The stuff has forgotten to order a taxi for me to the airport...
Location of hotel was good, near the Museumplein and Leidseplein, the Vondel Park, and a quiet street in the city. The Staff was very kind and willing to help.
- bad accesos to the building. One has to lift the heavy luggage up very steep stairs. Very inconvenient for people that carry luggage or elders. Breakfast room in the basement. Again the challenging stairs every morning. Breakfast was poor in terms of options. - rooms are too little, especially if you are not a couple.
For us the hotel was in an ideal location close to the museums and the Concertgebau. It was also in a quiet residential street.
The room was rather small. Stairs down to breakfast room were very steep.
Location is good. Rooms are small but not cramped. Breakfast is great.
Shower is tiny and our had to be held up with one hand. We reported this on our first day but it was not fixed during our stay.
Perfect location Staff very friendly and good advice. Clean and well equipped.
Staff was lovely and very helpful, thank you!!! Location was very fancy, like few steps away from cool museums and short walk away from Dam (or you can get a tram if you dont want to walk) Also design of my room was so cool, with all those quotes on the wall :-)
I couldnt close my window and freeze all night in somewhere cold like amsterdam
The location was great, right next to the museums and 10 min by tram from Dam, the breakfast was good enough, and the wifi was actually free for the period that we stayed. The rooms are small but nice.
We had to walk down a lot of steep stairs carrying our luggage to go into our rooms. We could hear everything that went on in the next rooms.
Very close to all major museums with tram stops at the end of the road. Comfortable accommodation with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast very good with pleasant bar / lounge facilities.
Recommended overnight parking 3 km away - street parking available but expensive @ 4 Euro per hour. Minor niggle that bathroom needed more shelf space for family use.
Great location, Clean room, Quaint setting
the location great, walking 5mins to the major galleries. 2mins to the tram for central Amsterdam. Perfect.
Room a bit small but clean and comfortable.
a small hotel but very well looked after by very nice staff. Very comfortable and we were very pleased to stay there. we had everything we needed
Location, location, location. Literally round the corner from Rikjsmuseum, and Van Gogh, shopping street, easy transport, walking distance to Jordan area... Pleasant staff. Adequate breakfast. Clean rooms, sheets. No carpeting.
Cramped bathroom. Narrow bed (but good mattress). Windows only open a slit. Ok in cool weather. Not ok in hot weather. Shabbyish corridors, lift, but not terrible.
I felt very disappointed when I realised that the room they gave to me it was not the same I have seen in the photo. Also they have said that the photo was not of a triple room as it is written down but of a quadruple room.Since we where 2 persons and we have choosed the triple room in order to be more spacious the gave us the room which is mentioned as double and they insisted that it was another kind of triple and did not accepted to reduce the price.I felt cheated.I will never stay there again. All the public areas where dirty.Every morning we had to download very steep stairs in order to reach the breakfast room.
Very noisy neighbors аt 4 а.м. The staff could not to calm down them for long time 3 nights in succession.
If you are a female solo traveler, please take into account that it is not possible to lock the door from within
Great location for all the big museums, excellent transport links. Small bedrooms but clean and comfortable. We had three single rooms so good value for money. Helpful friendly staff.
Public areas a bit shabby chic and dark. Breakfast was included but it was very basic and felt hostel rather than hotel.
