Occupying an impressive Art Deco building overlooking the Singel Canal, NH City Centre is a 5 minute walk from the central Dam Square. It features fine dining options, boat tours and a bike rental.
Score from 1460 reviews Good
The breakfast is good considering the price.
Shower was broken but usable.
The location was great, right next to tram stop and the rijchs mueseum and near to the vondelpark, and a wealth of shops and cafés. Could check out early, 0345h early, with no issue.
Fire alarms going off.s Strange lift, with no enclosing door
The elevator in a narrow building with narrow windy stairs. Breakfast good.
Narrow windy stairs. Front steps on the building are very difficult to scale, narrow and steep. Toilet squeezed in.
I just loved this small hotel, the location, the rooms and the friendly staff as well as a good breakfast
The beds are a little bit narrow (80 cm) but still all right. I could not understand that some people smoked in their rooms, after all it is clearly stated that this is not allowed if you do not understand it by yourself. Waking up in the middle of the night for this reason (with the alarm) is quite annoying.
The location was good - in the museum district and not far from the city centre
I knew in advance that the room would be small, but it was also shabby and not well-maintained. Mold in the shower. Poor soundproofing and insulation - you could literally hear everything. Breakfast was substandard, not fresh and a big disappointment. I wouldn't recommend staying here for longer than 1 night.
The room was very clean and the receptionist was very nice and helpful. Thanks!!
We booked the hotel for 1 night because of its location near museums and shopping streets. It was clean, with modern room design and very decent for a 2 star hotel.
Dont expect big rooms/bathrooms.
Located in the museum quarter Good access to local transport Helpful staff Good breakfast arrangement. (Could add more fruit/salad options. Don't remember seeing any!)
Too small a room for comfort (at least the one we stayed in) Very small toilet (no hangers for clothing or towels, this is very bad) Not much fruit/salad options for the breakfast. Very narrow and winding corridors! A warning for those who are claustrophobic!
The location was excellent. Very close to the old city, the tram, and lots of restaurants. The bed was also very comfortable and I slept well.
The room and bathroom were SO SMALL!! When I sat on the toilet my knees touched the wall. And we had a triple, but it's possible for more than one person to walk around from the bed to the bathroom. Not even a towel rack in the bathroom.
demaciado caro desayuno pobre
Excellent location! One block from museums and city center. Nice staff. Decent breakfast. Safe neighborhood.
There were stains on the decorative pillows, long black hairs on the comforters, no air conditioning, and bottom floor window didn't have a lock.
Location - close to museums and the vibe in town.
All except one of the receptionists were not friendly at all. The rooms were a bit small, but I suppose that is the toss up with such a great location.
Location is great. Very quiet and safe area, walking distance to the centre, two minutes walk to the tram station. The room was very clean.
The room was really, really small: to get into my bed, I had to walk sideways; when turning around in my sleep, I almost accidentally hit my friend who was sleeping in the next bed because the room was so narrow.
The only thing that i HATE were the stairs of the entrance and the fact that none of the staff helped us to carry the bags. They were just looking ans waiting for us. (This happened when I arrived and when I left).
Amsterdame is a very beautiful city, pleasure weather, very nice people and good governce and management of the city. Every thing is good
localitation cleaning bedroom
-stairs to access elevator and Buffet -pay for internet
good beds, good bedfast
that we could not have our luggage in a save locker, you have only a place to put your luggage, but anyone could have access to it....
The reception staff was good. Short walk to van gogh museum but for shopping/clubbing etc; better to stay closer to the city
The room was very, very small (twin bed) shower was a joke and extremely small, cold water for hours one day so we couldn't take a shower. Breakfast poor
The location was excellent, less than a block from the tram, and about a block from the Rijksmuseum. Room was clean and quiet.
No fan and no air conditioning and the only windows that opened were ten feet up and they just cracked a bit. It was really stifling and when I asked for a fan I was told they were not available .
Service was great, very hospitable and welcoming. Great food, lovely rooms and fantastic location in the heart of the museum district, you could see the Rijks Museum from the room window!
Location is excellent, very good value for money.
No air conditioning, the bedroom got really stuffy. Breakfast is very basic.
location hotel is recently renovated interior design is interesting
no air- conditioning and it was impossible to open the window in our room staff was autistic breakfast was substandard ( no vegetarian or vegan options, not a single piece of fresh fruit, overcooked eggs, bad choice of herbal teas)
Great location for exploring the city, near to museums and designer shops. Reasonable walk to the centre and dam square too
The bathroom was tiny, the staircases are very narrow and the rooms are small but that is to be expected in Amsterdam
The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean and the location handy.
The ever lasting grumpy mood of the blond man at the lobby. The room so small u can't open your suitcase. The fact u have to pay extra for WiFi. But above all, the fact that the walls are so paper thin that u can follow the whole conversation next door without even trying (bye bye privacy). Let alone the fact that the breakfast is simply gross...
small rooms tightly in breakfast room
