We cant close the door in the bathroom and there is no any door in the shower area and the floor always wet because of that.

The staff were courteous, professional and prompt. The breakfast was excellent.

We booked a 'luxury' room which we thought very small, particularly as it cost €455 plus City tax. For this reason we would not go back as it was cramped.

Everything was luxury: location, staff, So-spa and our room nr. 102 ;) windows are looking at the channel

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The room was very good! Clean, specious, well equiped (we had a coffee machine in our room and a TV in the bathroom!) We travel a lot but Sofitel was the first hotel where my son (4 years old) got his own small sleepers!! so attention to detail and customer service were great!

Breakfast was good but I thought was over priced (75euro per person), it had to be paid for separately, apparently it was not included in the room rate (although we had a junior suite room)

Our Deluxe Double room #123 was very very cold, heaters had almost no effect and air conditioner did not work at all.

We had a beautiful large room with view on the canal. In the bathroom all of - Hermes. A delicious Breakfast. Delicious mini desserts in the lobby. The hotel was full book, but the feeling that no one in. A good location. Near the street of red light.

Nice, large suite, especially for Amsterdam where the rooms tend ot be small. Had a butler whose services I actually used

Room was too warm and dry, the ac didn't seem to be operating and I only founf out the next morning that the heat was regulated by radiators. Quite expensive

Centrally located, historic building, attentive service, nice library place on the ground floor to have a drink in the evening, overall enjoyed my stay and might return

Standard room is smallish and crammed with additional little sofa and table, bed softer than I like, service at breakfast on the slow side, nearby restaurant recommended by concierge for late lunch was closed, although I asked for a place that would be open at the time

They dealt with the problem by comping breakfast and our bar bill plus upgrade to a suite on our return. Impressive

Thermostat failed on first night ,room became very hot

Wonderful hotel set within a beautiful courtyard. Faultless service, great facilities and very helpful staff. I would not heisitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Hard to fault but the cooked breakfast is not as good as other hotels I have stayed in.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay in this hotel & it was lovely. Very attentive staff that couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are excellent & so where the facilities. We only had breakfast which was fantastic, really enjoyed it & the staff were lovely. Would definatley stay again & reccomend.

The problem is the attention to detail..the elevator on my floor continued to be a problem the entire time, the bathroom had a plumbing issue....not fixed for three days aftert reporting it daily, etc. etc.
