    - every single employee of the hotel and its restaurants was friendly and really commited to ensure that the guest has the best time of his life - beeing part of the city centre of amsteram, the Grand has a perfect location with most importants sights in walking distant, even though it is highly recommend to use a bicycle - very comfy beds - the bistro and restaurant (Bridges) are excellent and serve well crafted and delicious food

    - refridgerator was not that clean and had to be filled up after our check-in - the swimming pool is rather useful for swimming as for recreation (as a part of the spa

    It was fantastic to be so near the center -- walking distance of many sites and very near most tram lines. The hotel is truly lovely -- it is worth taking the daily tour to see the historic rooms, which have been tactfully echoed in more recent renovations. All staff members were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The price makes this a treat for most of us -- but it truly is a treat.

    Even on the top floor, the nights were noisy: the liveliness of Amsterdam's streets carries into the rooms.

    Location Staff serving in bar and outdoor restaurant and at main door were very friendly and helpful, but reception staff made many mistakes.

    We arrived early and room not ready so we when out into Amsterdam, they advised they would call when ready - still waiting for the call. Changed initial booking from single to twin, had to pay extra, done with credit card, not a problem until they charged a 2nd credit card with same amount (same one used when initial booking was done). Booking for twin room - given small room with double bed (changed after complaining). Stayed 5 nights, 1st and 2nd night turn down service, water etc done x 2, 3rd night only done for 1, 4th night despite a reminder to them in the morning that there were actually 2 people in the room, it was only done for 1 but different bed than previous night - another complaint followed by another apology including a small bottle of wine, only for them not to bother at all on the 5th night. On complaining they said system showed 'one person', as both beds were slept in, did they think I was sleeping in both or had snuck someone into the room. On check out requested to pay nearly €700 extra (room prepaid) and when i questioned what it was for, actual amount to be paid was just under €200.

    I liked Everything! The hotel was lovely, great location, very nice Polite & well trained staff. The service was brilliant. The breakfast was expensive but worth it as there was so much choice. I would definitely return to Amsterdam & this hotel again. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

    We asked for a triple room but it made the room very cluttered. It would have been better if they had taken out the table & chairs when putting in another bed. We couldn't get into the wardrobe easily. It wasn't ideal.

    Staff very nice and helpfull.room with a nice canal view..

    We had to hunt for the barman in the flying dutchman when we stopped for a drink.

    Moved us to another room without a fuss

    I had emailed to confirm room & late check in prior to our arrival the superior twin room we had booked several months prior was not available so given a queen bed on the 1st floor not up to 5 star very noisy with traffic and people but moved to a superior twin on the 3rd floor for the rest of our stay

    Well located, good property, nice rooms and nice building with lots of Character

    Cars are valet parked. Give lots of notice when you want it back, either the cars are a long way away or they are very slow. Similar if you store bags

    The beds were amazing. Best night sleep I've had in ages. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or lovely! We had such a great time in Amsterdam because of their wonderful recommendations.

    The gym was very tiny and crowded with just three people in it. But it was still sufficient.

    We arrived early so our rooms was not ready but offered a suite for a good price. Because of few issues was had, the hotel then upgraded us to make-up. I found this to be a very nice gesture from them. The location was very good. Everything was close by.

    The air-condition wasn't so cold. I prefer it to be colder. First suite we got, the air-condition wasn't working and we had to change rooms.
