All of it!!!!
This hotel is in an EXCELLENT location, very close to the flower market, lots of bars, clubs, coffee shops, shopping and easy to get to from waterlooplein!
Hotel is dirty, breakfast rubbish (but there's loads of places to eat at just outside), there is a bar underneath the hotel so stay out till at least 1am otherwise you will not get sleep!
The staff is very nice and helpful.
The room is bit small and not very clean.
wifi did not reach our room on top floor
staff was terrible and rude! the whole hotel is a disaster!
Was clean ,an good location to everywhere we wanted to go would defiantly use this place agen next time i visit Amsterdam agen
Smell of old dirty carpets that stairs are covered is all over the place. Stairs are high and very narrow, so watch your step. Rooms on the last floor - due to the roof angle you basically have a triangle like small room. Troubles with hot and cold water in the shower. Wifi works ONLY near reception area that's small and has one chair only (you can use the "cafeteria" area though IF it's open)
It is placed at 20 meters from the Rembrandt Square. The receptionist was very nice and gave me good recommendations.
The hotel is not very clean and it is very uncomfortable. It has no lift, the stairs are small and in peak (don't bring big suitcases). Breakfast is poor.
Near to city center. Good breakfast but very poor, only toast, coffee ... no fruit, yoghurt, muesli.
Worn mattresses, blankets, dirt, dust....Quality does not match price.
The room was quite dirty, I was bit by a tick and two weeks later I almost die from an infection generated from this bite. After this terrible experience I do not recommend the Hotel Thorbecke to anyone!
The location was good. Staff was helpfull specially after check-out, a lady helped with oug baggs. thanks a lot to her, unfortunaly we did not ask her name.
The entrance door on the last floor was too noisy when opened and closed by guests. would be nice to have a room to be cleaned better.
Very nice location, right in the location of people gathering and walking distance to museum.
Wi-fi only available in the reception area, not in the room.
Very down town location, Rembrandt square aground the corner. Very economical. Staff was mere than helpful. Breakfast was good.
Like Amsterdam very narrow building with very narrow stairs. Functional but small room.
The staff are very good after all its those people who make the whole thing work!
The room must be maximum 5sm. It is located just above a bar so very noisy. Toilets and shower are clean but are shared with others
The staffs were amazing and friendly. Great location and busy area.
Location great value. Nothing special but clean and good for a sleep.
No wifi in the room. Just lobby area.
The staff was not kind, the breakfast was only coffe and toast, not more, the bathroom was pretty dirty with foreing hair everywhere, there were no Wi-fi connection available, and there was 2 Wall sockets, but one of them was broken. The window did`t work properly and it was not posible to close it and we have receive for a double room only one big towel and a small one for two people.
Very small, not clean, very poor facilities
- Location is very good, directly at rembrandtplein in the center of amsterdam - personal is quick if you need something - It's not really dirty but I have seen cleaner - It's a small room, so ok for a business trip but I wouldn't go there for vacation - if you just need a place to sleep, the price and location are good. otherwise, look for something else
- Breakfast could be better, whitest white bread I've eaten so far. Didn't really fill my stomach but maybe that's just me. - There is a disco on the ground floor. It didn't bother me cause I was in the top floor, but the people in 1st. or 2nd. probably couldn't sleep... better have ear plugs with you!
No heating, no tv, too much noise, towels not in a good condition, broken bathroom door and not very clean room!
Nothing except location
Wifi super slow, expensive rate, terrible room condition, long and deep leader impossible to stay with luggages. The hotel is very difficult to find with its location, no signage stating its hotel name outside.
cheap, central location
a bit run down and ramshackle
The location is awesome. Tram stops nearby (take #9 tram to/from Central Station to the Rembrantplein). Great BBQ ribs across the plein (pedestrian street) at CoCo's Outback. Palangi's Indonesian right downstairs. If you're into coffee shops, Bush doctor is right across the plein, too. Smokey is right around the corner.
We've gone there for over 20 years and have seen them try to update this old house..but still needs work (old TVs and broken curtain rods. Bathroom is OK but just serviceable. The stairs are very daunting, though - especially with luggage! Very noisy until 4am if in a room facing the plein. Nightclub right downstairs.
Nothing worth to recommend...
