Best Western Dam Square Inn  

Location Location Location, you will not get a better hotel located for the price we got it for, walking distance to everything! I think it was around 460 euro for double room, for 3 nights bed & breakfast, sounds steep but after alot off research I took it because it was in my budget and alot alot cheaper than other hotels therefore I was a little apprehensive in case it was horrible but couldn't have been more wrong, lovely hotel very clean (i'm fussy) and the beds...omg comfortable!!! Also felt very safe in the area!! Book it!!

We travelled without plug adaptors and the ones the hotel provided didn't work, but in fairness we should have took our own!!!!

Very convenient location.

The front desk staff were fantastic! I forgot the ladies name; started with and "r" and Hussaim(?) was very helpful! They both went beyond the call of duty helping with our requests.

No dinner options. Too close to the drug areas.

What I din't like is a complaint. For a non-smoking hotel, my room really smelled of smoke even with airing it out during the day.

Danielle, (front desk) was extremely helpful providing directions, restaurant suggestions, assistance with wi-fi, etc. She was very pleasant and made our stay more enjoyable. The location was great and the hotel was a good value for the price.

We stayed in room 117. The steps down immediately upon opening the door took some time to get used to (nearly falling several times). My sister's room 116 had been smoked in, although the hotel has non-smoking signs clearly posted. Nothing was done to eliminate the odor except to suggest she open the window. It would be helpful for the rooms to have a 110 V outlet - at least in the bathroom.

Location-location-location! We walked everywhere and were close to everything. Good location for public transportation; good location for food and shopping.

Wish that they would have vacuumed our room each day.

The hotel is just 20 meters far from the Dam Square, the hart of the city, and 600 meters from the train station. The staff is really kind and always available.

The structure is old. The bathroom wasn't well cleaned. The breakfast is poor.

We loved the location and the wonderful staff.

We found the room lacked light, it was impossible to read with two tiny bulbs for the whole room. We also should have requested a room that was not on the street. It was the Queen's birthday weekend and the partying went on until 3:30 am every morning.

it was small and very comfortable. The staff couldn't be nicer. We would definitely stay there again if we go to Amsterdam.

Liked the location of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff - loved the quietness of the room (111) at the back, certainly the best we have ever experienced in this respect. Decent continental buffet breakfast.

Room was short of storage space for two people over a 5 night stay.

Excellant price for amsterdam, great location easy to reach other parts of the city and the staff were excellant, I will stay there again.

The Dam Square Inn is located within 50 feet of the New Church and 100 feet of the two major tram stops from the Central Train Station. A variety of restaurants are within 15 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor, was large for Europe with an en suite bathroom. It was bright and airy. Air conditioning was more than adequate. The room was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable. There was free wireless internet. The price was very reasonable for Amsterdam. We highly recommend the Dam Square Inn.
