location, very budget hotel in great area. be prepared for the very steep stairs, (compare them to a loft ladder) 16 stairs to each floor. toilets are very small.

evrything you read about the stairs doesn't really show how steep they are. toilets are really small and shower is on the 1st floor

Location great. Breakfast was EXCELLENT! (And the lady who served it and replenished it was a sweetheart.)

Room was very old and creepy. Walls dirty. Room was extremely hot; we put radiator on lowest setting but it still kept pumping out heat all night. Had to keep window open to keep us cool, but we heard street noise all night which kept us up. Beds too soft, sheets has stains on them.

Location was good, close to tram and museums.

Wifi did not work on fourth floor, shower was intermittently hot and cold, and also lost pressure entirely at one point, beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable, sink wasn't big enough to wash your face in, trash all over window sill, room was dusty. Staff was reluctant to assist us when we complained.

The location of this hotel is it's redeeming feature. When I asked the Man on reception if I could have my bedding and towels changed he accomodated.

All the reviews are accurate with the narrow stairs, small toilet and the thin walls but it's Amsterdam, it was a budget hotel, my expectations weren't high and it didnt bother me. What did bother me was it was very dirty, I had to get my bedding changed due to blood stains. There was risidual hair all over the place inc. On the towels and in the bed. The smell of must was overpowering and the laundry bags and housekeeping equipment was strewn throughout the small corridors making it hard to get around. Would recommend the area to all that visit Amsterdam just maybe not this hotel.

The hotel is very well located. Breakfast was simple, but very good. Good value for money. Staff was nice. Newly refurbished and clean shower room.

Room wasn't very clean. Every time we moved the curtains my husband and I would start sneezing, headboard quite dusty as well. Be prepared to climb up the steepest staircase I've ever seen! Quite a challenge, especially carrying a suitcase. TV was in a very weird position that could only be properly watched if you stand up!

Read Brad from Hamburg's review. I agree with every word. If you're traveling on a budget and looking to party in Amsterdam, this hotel is exactly what you're looking for. It's clean, spacious, and comfortable with a great location for the price. I would absolutely stay here again on a return trip.

The walls are indeed extremely thin, but it honestly didn't bother me. I could see how it could bother others.

The breakfast was quite good considering the price of the room. The hotel was close enough to most places (took some 30 minutes to walk to almost everywhere in the city) and very close to the museum district (which sadly was mostly renovating at the time of our visit).

The sound proofing in the room was non-existent, so we kept waking up to other hotel customers coming home from bars etc. Additionally, the radiator was on too hot and made weird clinking noises. We still got our night's sleep though.

- the super narrow and steep stair and no lift, not for ppl with huge/heavy bag. - our double bed are actually 2 jointed single where there's a gap(hole) in between. - our room hallway are fill/block with bagss of (mattress cover/towels) on our arrival night, we have to leap over in-order to reach our room door!! Its very danger if there's a fire, luckily nothing happen. - tiny toilet, almost can't close the toilet door when I sit on the toilet bowl (6ft tall here). - not the hotel, but the quality ppl who stay there, smoking in the shared toilet!!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and during our stay not at all noisey.

Stairs are narrow and steep although to be fair this is highlighted in the description we saw.

i like location easy to find and near to bus station from/to airport , near to restaurants and tram stations , very comfortable beds , nice view on the canal , very good breakfast , friendly staff , internet 24/7 wifi .

Only the price. Location is also easily accessable. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was worth it.

Very tiny rooms, not kept clean. hardly have any moving space. Take this hotel only if you are backpacking and on a very tight budget.

Breakfast I didnt get as I waited at a table like I was told and no one brought any over was only toast..... Beds you fell off the sides felt like matress was to big but was comfy... Group of 9 of us stayed had complaints to loud but had banging all night on the ceiling?

- The smell of the old carpets - Smell of smoke in the stairs when it should be a non-smoking hotel - Very poor cleaning - General old aspect of the decoration, furniture and walls - TV not working - Ridiculously tiny shower in the room and absurdly tied shared WC - The room for 2 people was around 9 square meters, which is smaller than the minimum size for prison cells for 2 people in some countries - Mold in the walls and doors - No elevator and very steep stairs, difficult if you carry a big suitcase - Poor breakfast in a room that is also used as lobby to watch TV and to store the towels and the bed linen - The plastic key was so fragile that it broke in my pocket and I had to pay 5€ for a new one, by coincidence when the receptionist made a new one, it broke straight away

The room was clean and big enough for three grown lads. The beds had clean sheets and were quite comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. The shower stall is built right into where the sink sits. It also had a small tv set high on the wall with a variety of channels in various languages including English. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A small breakfast was included and came with rolls, meats, cheeses, jams and spreads as well as cereal and coffee. It is located about 2 kilometers from the central station and gave us a great walk to and from the city center. There is a small area around the corner with various restaurants, pubs, cafes and coffee shops (the fun kind). I recommend the Irish Pub, which had several delicious beers on tap, including Strongbow cider. After reading other reviews, I was a little skeptical but the Hotel Titus more than fit our needs. Although it is probably not fit for family travel, a group of people looking to party in Amsterdam will find the Hotel Titus more than accommodating.

The walls are thin and you will here the late night boys coming in and making noise. Other than that, there was nothing about the hotel I could say I did not like.

Good location overlooking the canal, 20 mins walk from the railway station. Free WiFi. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Small room, clean and with sink. Nice buffet breakfast, cereals, bread, cheese,eggs, ham etc etc. Had narrow stairs and compact toilet but that's Amsterdam. Booked ahead and got a good deal, excellent value for the 3 nights.
