Nice Hotel 20 minutes from Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Hoorn. Beautifull, clean rooms and a great place to relax, walk by the sea or bicycle. |

The staff was always pleasant and courteous and extremely helpful. I'm not sure whether the food could be called hotel gourmet, but what I ate there was delicious. The breakfast buffet had everything one could imagine and in quantity and variety. My room was large and clean. I felt that the the hotel lived up to the description on the internet, and more. There were a few things that were a bit worn and places that could use some paint but given the staff, the food, and general cleanliness I would definitely stay there again. The shower curtain was stained at the bottom and should be replaced. |

good value for money. half an hour away from amsterdam but if you have a car i can't see any problem. a little bit tricky if you are travelling back at night because of the countryside location. bonus of free parking, close to volendam. |

Realy like the hote surroundings, the staff and the big parking. If you plan to go to Amsterdam you will need your transport, if you have it it's cheaper (p+r costs 6 € for 1 day with train tickets, 1h parking in the city can be as much as 4 €) |

I liked the view over the dike of the water. I wish I had brought my bike, because the lanes around Warder and Edam are a biker's paradise. |

The countryside was beautiful, the canal is 30 m from the hotel, very quiet place, easy to get to/from Amsterdam (drive to the ferry, park the car on the free-of-charge parking and take the ferry to the city centre). In the neighborhood, there's a village Edam with an excellent cheese market. Unfriendly receptionist who tried to make me buy a map in response to the question "In what direction should I drive to get to Amsterdam faster". Don't book this hotel if you plan to use public transportation. |

The breakfast was quite satisfactory, the location is quiet, there is parking for the car and the staff is good. Although tolerant and positive person, I was dissapointed by the tideness of my room. There was a used bedsheet and two used towels (probably used by previous guests) lying on the wardrobe and there were a lot of spiders. I asked the reception to take care of that and they promised to do so. However, they did not do anything at all... :-( Perhaps I was the only one who had such problems, because I did not read similar comments in other reviews. |

Because we were using public transport at first we didn't like how far from Amsterdam the hotel was because our main objective was to visit the city. But after a few days we really enjoyed the more than peaceful and beautiful countryside on the Netherlands, it's amazing I tell you. From the hotel to the main road is about a 40 min walk and then 40 min to the central station. We saw everything we wanted to and had the chance to meet hospitable people and beautiful places. The hotel is nice, it's cheap, the food is nice, as a matter of fact everything was just fine. |

The hotel was excellent for us, They have large quadrooms with mezzanine level that are a little dated but very clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. A great base if you have a car and don't want to drive in to Amsterdam. In the immediate area there are some fantastic working windmills you can visit and see how they worked. Our children loved the mezzanine level, but the stairs were quite steep so it might not be great for people with very young children who might climb up and fall off the ladder. |

We were very satisfied with the hotel and the rural surroundings, which are absolutely adorable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar was nice; our children especially enjoyed the fact that they could get ice cream in the bar. In the bar, there was a corner with toys for the children. We stayed on the ground floor and the lock on our balcony door didn't seem to function, but since it wasn't possible to open the door from the outside anyway, we didn't really care. |

The location was lovely and pastoral. Convenient to all towns we wanted to visit. The room was large and beds were comfortable. Well ventilated room. Nice dining room especially for evening drinks/coffee. There were totally understaffed for the number of guests. Many errors on billing for most members of our group. Tried to charge for an extra night so had to have the invoice from booking.com to prove payment in full. Access into rooms is awkward as the spring mechanism does not allow you to open door completely. |
