It was off the beaten track, away from the crowds, and offered us an opportunity living on an Amsterdam canal that gave us a more authentic foreign experience than staying in a regular hotel would have. |

Fred and Liesbeth, the owners of the houseboat, are lovely and kind people, always available to help us when we needed. The houseboat is located in a very quiet place, surrounded by trees. There was a family of swans cruising along the canal that would greet us every morning, along with other ducks. We loved it! |

It was a great change from staying in an impersonal 'typical' hotel (friendly & helpful owners, beautiful location, very relaxing and only a 25 min walk/15 min bus or tram ride into the centre of town). The fact its good value for money (whether as a single person or up to 4) makes it even better. |

A home from home which had extremly comfortable bed and was very warm and cosy. Boat stayed stable even in high winds and lashing rain. Excellent indonesian takeaway nearby (good for us as we had terrible weather one day!) No-it was a bit shabby but that added to the charm |

It was very home-like environment that we feel quite comfortable. The family is polite but it was our bad luck that we have to check out early because thay had to leave the house (it is just a simple family that does not have any staff left). I hope to visit there again as soon as possible. For travellers, please note that it is not in the center of the city so you have to take bus to get there. If you want to stay late in the city, i reccomend you not to stay there because after 00.15 you wont be able to find any buses. You should take the night bus but it is not very convenient. |

A lovely quiet place to go back to after a full days sightseeing in beautiful Amsterdam. Easy to get to and from on public transport. A lovely restaurant called The Amsterdam, originally a pump house, nearby. Lovely hosts and quite roomy considering that it has only one bedroom. All necessary gadgets to make a comfortable stay. We had to use the central heating a few times which was very efficient Could do with a lick of paint inside but after saying that it is very cosy and clean. |

Good location, only a short bus ride away from the busy city centre (and very cheap with a strip ticket!). Privacy (a lot of hotels in our price range had a shared bathroom). It was catered more for older couples rather than two young women. |

My wife and I loved the location; a canal in the Western District but close enough to walk to Jordaan district. The houseboat was clean & quiet - a perfect retreat after a day in Amsterdam. The owners were so friendly and gave great advice on where to eat & play. We loved Houseboat under the Mill and will definitely go back again soon. |

the beds, being able to feed birds from the window, the location it might've been a problem if it was very hot, dealing with mosquitoes if you wanted the windows open. |

Original, tres sympas de dormir sur l'eau. Il s'agit en fait d'un bungalow flottant, avec cuisine donc bcp d'espace, on peut y faire a manger si on le souhaite, pratique pour lepetit dej. Au calme, a 15 min du centre il faut compter 15 bonnes minutes en bus pour aller en centre ville, pour les amateurs de teuf, a oublier, mais tres bien pour un week end romantique |

Wunderbare Lage am Wasser, nahe zum Centrum, sehr nette vermieter Familie. Im Houseboat befand sich alles, was man zu einem entspannten Aufenthalt benötigt. Sauber, nett einfach Wunderbar!!! Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. |

全てにとって完璧な宿でした．20時過ぎに到着したにもかかわらず，親切丁寧な対応をして頂き，バスチケットも頂けたので，当日に中心街に行くことが出来ました．傘も快く貸して下さりました．アムステルダム駅（中心）へは徒歩で1時間程度です．少し距離があるかとも思いましたが，途中の町並みも美しいのであっという間でした． |

Det var nog just att få tillbringa sin weekend på en husbåt istället för vanligt hotel. Detta kändes mer som man bor o lever i Amsterdam. Heltäckningsmatta i både sovrum o vardagsrum är ingen större hit!! |
