Houseboat under the Mill  

The host family are so nice and helpful, Liesbeth and Kiji. They got everything ready, especially the tourist information and special events in Amsterdam. The view from the houseboat is amazing, and the swan just knocked the window to wake you up in the morning and ask for some special treat like bread , biscuits. Lovely. Also it is cosy. It is big enough for a family.

Everything really. Liesbeth, Fred & Lajla were more than friendly and hospitable, the house is well located, in a quiet and clean part of Amsterdam but only 12 minutes from the center, the house has a very cozy atmosphere, the view was great and all the facilities are just there from tea spoons to TV.

The Dutch Toilet is not my type really :-)

How to describe a perfect stay in a few words? Staying (again) in the 'Houseboat under the Mill' with Fred, Liesbeth & kids can be described as COMING HOME IN A HOTEL. Reception by Liesbeth & Fred is friendly and warm as always; questions or problems ... they are glad to give you directions and help you out where possible! This cosy floating housboat is located in Amsterdam (a little out of the centre) the 'waterly surroundings' and the sight of a real working windmill next door gives me a little bit of a coutry-side feeling. Next time I will bring my wife & kids!

Everything was perfect, warm people comfortable house very clean great view to the river just like a traditional dutch boathouse, we had everything we needed, and close to amsterdam central, I highly recommend it and say a hello from us to ms liesbeth !!

Liesbeth and Fred were most accommodating and hospitable. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable place to stay while in Amsterdam. I felt at ease the moment I walked in the door and would not hesitate recommending them to others for their travel needs.

It's amazing staying on the water. If you aren't a sailor it's an awesome experience. Specially in a houseboat. It's a true Amsterdam experience. The "house" is nice and confortable. And the owners are very friendly and helpfull. I liked a lot and recomended it.

Back again at your place after a year felt a little bit like coming home ... my place. Fred & Liesbeth & kids thanks again. For the reception, the hospitality, the usefull info and directions, etc.etc.etc. I know it is all a part of the package & service, but ... doeing something well- done or something well-done with heart and conviction makes a big diference. The fact that it is a real dutch experience. The interaction with a dutch (very friendly) family. Waking up to the view of the canal and nature, and the fact that it is a-self sufficient condo. You can buy you own food and cook in there. I will definetely go there again.

The houseboat is not a hotel in the normal sense: 4 adults will fill it up; you stay in the owners backyard boathouse. By being 3 occupants we had it all to ourselves. It is certainly one of the best places I have ever stayed in, and considering the prices in Amsterdam it is actually a good deal. There isn't very much to say other that I recommend it without any hesitation. Probably worth mentioning, is the fact that it's not in the center of Amsterdam, but there is a bus stop some 200 meters away. And it's a 40 minute walk from the city center!

The organization of all the information given to us about the city. Excelent. All the great treatment we had from Liesbeth and Fred . We felt like we were at home. Just have to say that we recomend to all a stay in this lovelly home. We will be back when we can!

Proprietaria molto gentile. Casa veramente bella e originale. Molto luminosa. Ha grandi finestroni che affacciano direttamente sul canale. Letti comodissimi. Wi fi libero. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Siamo rimasti molto colpiti: e' veramente un ottima sistemazione, oltrettutto a 15 minuti di autobus dal centro (servizio autobus ogni 10 minuti), la consiglio vivamente!

Lavandino del bagno veramente piccolo. Nonostante le tende, al mattino entrava una gran luce dalle finestre.

Nous avons aimé l’originalité de la location.Liesbeth et Fred sont vraiment sympathiques et de bons conseils.Nous avons apprécié le petit geste de la fin...une petite attention ça fait toujours plaisir ! Au niveau de la location en elle même rien à redire. La literie est excellente, il ne manque rien au niveau des ustensiles de vaisselle. Le cadre est simple , fonctionnelle à l'image de ce que l'on peut attendre de style de location. Pas besoin d'utiliser la voiture pour se rendre au centre d'Amsterdam .Avec le pass-City Card, les trajets sont compris ainsi que certaines entrées de musée ( Sur les conseils de Liesbeth...) de plus l'arrêt de bus est à peine à 50 m du Househaot. Nous recommandons cette location aux personnes cherchant l'originalité d'un endroit atypique sans chichi !!
