Apollo Hotel Utrecht City Centre

1. The hotel is loacted in a convenient region, very close to the Central Station and the major business/tourist area. 2. The people in the reception desk are generally kind and helpful. 3. The management of luggage storage is quite good.

The cleanliness really needs to be improved. For example, when we checked in, the cups in the room were both dirty. We deliberately exposed them to draw the attention of the room service personnel, but they just kept igoring them and but the cup back as they were. Moreover, the design of the shower area needs to be reconsidered. Without a shower door, it is very difficult to keep the toilet floor dry.

Staff very helpful- particularly after I injured my ankle.

The washbasin in the room was leaking and they were unable to repair it, we were offered a room change but due to my ankle injury we declined this offer.

Excellent bathroom, shower and bath and even a bidet.

Only two English telly channels are free, Sky News and BBC2 (yes, 2). You have to pay a lot for anything else.

I love the hotel because of its location. I have stayed in the double room at the back twice, which is not as noisey, but then you get the early noise from, the staff, using the store room. I stayed in an excutive room on the front. with the twin beds, the matteress was forever falling from its base. the beds were soft and ok for me, but too soft for my partner. The beds are just not practical for couples. The design is modern and nice, but seems as though it needed finishing, just the odd touches.

The hotel needs a facelift, room interior, bathroom.. an overall renovation would not hurt

The Apollo is conveniently located close to the train station and within short walking distance of much of Utrecht

My room was a single that faced the street. It was noisy during the night and in the very early morning. Also, the bathroom was very small. The sink was too high and positioned in a location that made it difficult to use. Just getting in and out out the shower required effort.
