お城のホテルということだったので客室は古い部屋を予想していましたが、客室棟は新しい建物で、カジュアル- な感じでした。郊外なのでその日 開催されていた自転車レースに出る人たちも泊まっていました。 お城の部屋はパーティーなどで利用されているようでした。 マーストリヒトの中心からはちょっと離れているので、決して便利では ありませんが、敷地内周辺も散歩でき、ゆっくりしたい休日には良いと 思います。逆にサイクリングしたい人などにも最適です。

Friendly helpful staff and a very relaxing environment. Excellent WiFi coverage as well which is very important to the business traveller.

It is an excellent hotel for a reasonable price. The hotel is kids friendly, located in a very beautiful old castle, 5 kilometers away from the city center.

No translation to english on the menu and on the signs on the hotel.

We have stayed here 5 times, each time we enjoy it more. Always a friendly greeting, " Hello again", a bar that is user friendly, and the hotel is close to the city.

The room (lower floor) was rather small, but we already knew this from earlier reviews. However once we opened the door, the very distinctive smell of the air fresheners immediately came to you. We had to open the windows to clear the air... The beds were too soft, so in the morning I had a pain in my back from the bed. If you are a light sleeper you won't get too much rest here: you can really hear everything through the walls and ceilings. Everytime someone opens a door in the hallway you hear this loudly in your room. We had checked that it was possible to come to the breakfast until 11am. We were there at 10.50 and made our choice from the buffet. There were about 10 people from the staff running around in the breakfast area: it really didn't give you a comfortable feeling. At 11.02 the main waiter came to all tables that were still eating, telling we had to leave the area as they had to prepare it for eastern brunch. Our plates were still full, and we should take everything to the bar. They could have told us this when we came in at the breakfast area, so we could immediately be seated in the bar area. Now we had to move everything to there, for which we passed. This really is something I have never experienced and find unacceptable.

Quiet location right outside of city. Beautiful old mansion. Great breakfast. Great pillows!

This time we knew where we were coming to- the lights up the drive were still there, but slowly the sign of the Christmas festivities were disapeering, busines as usual. The natural ambiance and peacefulness remained as strong as ever. The staff as always helpfull and welcoming. Maastricht is a unique City to wander through. So the combination makes us want to return - we will that is for sure.- Till the next time.

I thought the staff were rude. On checking out the Dark haired woman (I do not know her name) was very rude and dismissive. I tried to explain something to her and she put her hand up to stop me talking becasue she wanted to look something up on her computer. When I tried again to explain something she dismissed my comments out of hnd and told me I was wrong and that she had checked the computer and she was right. She then said very rudely and abruptly "I can call the booking company and prove it to you - if you want" Extremely rude and dismissive. Adding to this, the night before I ordered a taxi and when we came down to reception I was told that the receptionist had "forgotten to order it" This meant that we did not have enough time to go for dinner before we went to the cinema - so we missed the film!!!! On the whole - not a great stay - rude, incompetent and dismissive staff. Such fun!! Not!!

Convenience since the dinner (Genootschap Nederland-Engeland) we were attending was held at the hotel.
