Van der Valk hotel Purmerend has 40 hotelrooms and a restaurant. We are situated 500 mtrs. from the motorway A7 and just outside the citycentre of Purmerend.

Room information

In our cosy restaurant ‘’Beemsterpolder’’ you can enjoy a French-Dutch cuisine. Every day The chef of our kitchen brigade Andre Bruijgoms surprisingly invents new delicious courses. Besides the a la carte menu we also offer vegetarian meals. The special season-related menus are made on request.

Also for lunch it is an excellent place to meet for a (business) lunch. You can find the restaurant near exit nr 5 from the A7. The small menu offers you various choices, to choose from the main menu is always possible.

Area information

For business travellers our hotel is an ideal place for a quiet stay only 20 minutes from Amsterdam by car. For tourists our central location just north of Amsterdam offers many possibilities: visits to De Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Marken and of course the UNESCO World Heritage de Beemster, as well as the characteristic Dutch cities Hoorn and Alkmaar. Hotel Purmerend is also a very good location to start your hiking or cycling trip.

- Highway A4 towards Amsterdam
- Take junction 10 to Amsterdam/Zaanstad
- Through the Coentunnel towards Zaanstad (A8)
- Follow the Direction Leeuwarden/Purmerend (A7)
- Then take junction 5: Purmerend/Zuidoostbeemster/Oosthuizen
- At the T Junction go to the left
- After 400 meters take the second street left to the Oostdijk
- After 25 meters take a left towards our parking place

Routedescription from Utrecht (A2):
- Driving on the a2 take the junction Amsterdam/Zaanstad (A10)
- Through the Zeeburger Tunnel towards Zaanstad
- Take the direction Zaanstad/Leeuwarden/Hoorn (A8)
- Then take the direction Leeuwarden/Purmerend (A7)
- Get off at the junction 5: Purmerend/Zuidoostbeemster/Oosthuizen
- At the T-junction take a left
- After 400 meters take the second street left to the Oostdijk
- After 25 meters take a left to our private parking place.

Route description from Central Station Amsterdam:
- Take bus 100 from Central Station to Purmerend en get off at the stop Gedempte Singelgracht (about 20 minutes)
- Walk in the same direction as the bus towards the junction, take a left towards the Beemsterbrug
- After 30 meters the hotel will be located on your right hand side
