An excellent example of history brought to life - a thorough restoration, comfortable lodgings, fine dining, cosy cafe, friendly staff, quiet location. The bathroom of one of the two rooms our group occupied had a faint, but unpleasant odour in the morning after people had been showering. It would seem the drain pipes lack an s-trap that would prevent gas from escaping back into the room.

The location, more than amazing. The confort of the room, the quality of the breakfast The poor avaibility of the personnel. A slot of 2 hours for chek in forced us to drive directly to the hotel instead of enjoying some other locations. The lack of transportation for living the hotel without any other solution proposed was also very desapointing.

Gezellig midden in de vesting Bourtange. Wij waren daar ter gelegenheid van de Kerstmarkt die erg gezellig was. En dan zit je natuurlijk op de eerste rang bij alles wat er in zo'n weekend gebeurt. Er viel niets tegen

Das historische Ambiente und die hübschen gepflegten Häuser in der Festung . Die Rezeption war abends bei Ankunft geschlossen und es gab keinen direkten Ansprechpartner.

Ons verblijf in Bourtange was heel speciaal. Terug gaan naar vroeger, het leven ervaren van soldaten en het leven van vroeger. Tijdens ons verblijf was er ook een echt Middeleeuws feest gaande. Je waande je echt in vroegere tijden. Het was geweldig!

Bij Hotel Vesting Bourtange vond ik de locatie prima, erg leuk bedacht, zo in de vesting, met de logementen in de oude gebouwen van de Vesting, want ik dacht dat het gebouw eerst een museum was, weet niet zeker. Wat mij een beetje tegen viel in het logement was dat er geen wisser voor de vloer was neerzet, met douchen, werd de vloer erg nat en glad, we wouden dan ook niet alle handdoeken gebruiken voor de vloer. misschien dat er dan nog een douchegordijn moet komen voor de andere kant van het bad, want naar het raam toe was wel een gordijn, verder geen opmerkingen of kritiek.

Vriendelijk personeel, prima kamer met alles erop en eraan; zelfs een bedstee en een zeer ruime badkamer. Voor een weekendje is er genoeg te zien binnen de vesting!

Schönes rustikales Zimmer mit Fenster neben der Badewanne, mit Liebe zubereitetes Frühstücksbuffet, schnelle und kulante Abstimmung mit booking.com nach dem Verwechseln des Reisezeitraums um einen Tag, unsere Zimmerschlüssel konnten wir nach 17Uhr dann im Café am Festungsmarktplatz abholen, was auch gut funktionierte

Hier kann man ausspannen und kommt zur Ruhe aus dem stressigen Alltag. Alles läuft hier ein wenig langsamer... Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer könnte etwas besser sein. Es waren doch einige Spinnweben über den Lampen am Bett und unter den Polstern der Sitzmöbel hatte man auch schon lange nicht mehr nachgesehen...
