Location only. Good things about the hotel: 1) The concierges are fabulous - pro active, hands on & make the hotel the success it is. They were wonderful. 2) Brasserie does a good range of value for money & delicious food. 3)The urban suite, we were eventually given, was lovely. 1) Wrong room assignment After booking via booking.com I contacted the hotel direct to request an upgrade to the Urban Suite etc which was confirmed by email. Upon arrival - we were assigned one room - and told to come back in two hours to be given the key cards. I told them they were assigning the wrong room as I had upgraded to an Urban junior suite - They refused this - and told me I had originally booked a twin room and they had kindly upgraded it to a king double (twin beds to a king bed is an upgrade??). Upon returning after the 2 hours wait...we were assigned another room...despite my protests we were taken to the Victoria wing - and taken to an awful room! I immediately phoned reception & insisted there had been a mistake. Such a bad first impression of a hotel. 2) No early check in option We arrived at 10am - and had to wait for the full 2 hours to get to a room. 3) We were assigned 3 rooms in total (before we could settle in), 1 room upon arrival (which we never saw), another when we went back to collect the keys - and another when I complained it wasn't the room I had upgraded to. The reception staff were reluctant to move us and I had to prove from a printed email - that I had a confirmed upgrade. It made me feel awful - as it was a birthday trip - and none of the careful pre arrangements had been carried out (e.g. birthday card, VIP treatment). 3) Reception staff were decidedly unfriendly & disbelieving to the point where we avoided the reception totally. 4) Hotel cards to door didnt work on several occasions - where we had been accidentally checked out (by the system??) before our booking was over (meaning the room hadn't been cleaned either). 5) Cleaning staff say 'House keeping...' and enter your room anyway (even if you call out to say you are there) ...we were caught in bed on several occasions...felt privacy was invaded and we were always listening for the door to open!

the central location, the very helpful staff and the magnificent gesture of the free upgrade to the executive room as a birthday gift!-- they saw the passport :) the leisure facility is not as good as the pictures suggest and to charge guests to use the sauna is excessive.

Location is great. In the heart of Amsterdam, just 100 m from Central Railway Station and close to everything. Cleanliness of the en-suit was less than fair. I could even see dried urine drops on the toilet seat. Shower curtain was too old and dirty. The hotel has two wings - Victoria and Urban. I stayed in both and was not satisfied only with Victoria room. Urban room was much nicer and cleaner, bigger modern en-suit, shower had glass screen, no curtain. Make sure you book Urban wing room although it is little bit more expensive. I also have to mention that staff was very good. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with Victoria room they upgraded me to Urban free of charge.

the wonderful part of this trip is the location of this hotel. its in the middle of everything. usually after you travel to a new city you see hotels around that you wish if you made your reservation in, but this time i wished nothing better. the location and the style of the hotel both are great. what made me feel great about my trip was the concierge service at Park Plaza they realy very helpful and gave me a lot of support. thank you i had 2 problems, one was the house keeping as it wasn't on the expected level. the second was while i was checking out because after i went home I found out that the accountant didnt clear the blockage on the reservation amount of money as I used a different credit card for paying the bill. usualy they release the other one . now i have to wait till the time limit of this blocking ends and the bank release my money and that will end during the next week. this is completely uncomfortable.

It has an excellent location, a short walk from the station and close to many attractions. The breakfast was excellent as was the food in the Brasserie. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The hotel offered free wi-fi but it was very slow and you had to pay for a faster speed. The hotel advertised massage facilities in the Spa but these were not available during my stay.

I actually loved this hotel, my room (urban room) was comfy, stylish and resembled exactly what was advertised. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. And it was located smack in the middle of all the tourist attractions. Well, didn't like the fact that, the cleaning staff just use their master key to open the door, let herself into the room without knocking or trying to find out if you were still in the room.

3 days 2 nights stay it was. We had an Executive Room with a very nice view, the Amsterdam Main Central itself. We booked for 1 night through Booking, com and extended for another night at the hotel itself. The room & bath is very clean, comfy, giving us the luxury for the much needed rest. The room comes with a Coffee Machine which is a bonus to coffee lovers like us! And yes, surplus hangers in the big closet for our coats, jackets, and stuffs. A stone throw away from the Canal sightseeing tours deck, sidewalk cafes, souvenir shop, Dam Square and simply just perfect for us.

Location, and Staff were very good/nice Very noisy in lobby . With typical forginers who visit Amsterdam for the market uniqueness - say no more! The type of clinets it hosts is not for the genuine visiters. Nice staff and rooms are ok.

We were very pleased with our whole stay. The location is excellent, just 200m from the Central Station and on a walking distance of everything: shopping, monuments, Red Light District, restaurants and bars. We did everything on foot.

The hotel staff is very helpful. The room is suitable for my family (consist of 02 adults, 01 child (age 05 years) and 01 infant (age 09 months). The room is big enough to add 01 baby cot. The location is near with halal restaurant, tour office and trains/tram/GVB station. Recommend this hotel to all my friend that travel with children. All attraction is with walking distance or via GVB (tram).

Location close to main rail station and hotel within sight on exiting the rail station. Only a few minutes walk to the lobby entry. We had an upstairs room in the new wing and it was quiet, spacious, and clean. Bathroom facilities clean and bright. The buffet breakfasts were excellent & compared with many was reasonable value at 13 Euro. We would stay here again without hesitation. The in-room wifi was indifferent performance but free internet access in the lobby was acceptable.

Was originally given a room without access to the lift and have to climb a spiral stair case . Have to request for a change of room because of the heavy luggage. Hotel should state clearly prior to booking because access to lift is essential for travelers with bulk luggage , or using prams or wheel chair.

Very nice rooms, slightly too big a hotel for any nice personal touches, but over all a good place to stay. Very comfy. They charge a lot for the room, then you pay a lot for everything else on top. £17.50 for wifi per day!

The convenience to the main train station so arrived at Schipol Airport, took a direct train (15 mins) and strolled across to the hotel, it was hassle free. The lighting in the main bathroom and dressing area was quite dim.

When I checked-out! Poor location of room. Having to take stairs to get to my room after taking a lift. Extortionate price for the room. Noise from street level. Poor air conditioning. Sub-standard bathroom. Excessive charges for breakfast. Having to press a bell and wait for 10 minutes for the front entrance of hotel to open.

The location is excellent right by the train station. Staff are mixed, a lot dont seem to enjoy working there. But when we had a problem our night manager was great. Rooms long way from reception in some cases. We had scaffolding put up on our window eary in the morning. Didnt ugraded our room to exec even though we are goldpoints silver members and they should do. Was granted a very late checkout though 9pm. After complaint we got moved to a suite.
