Closeness to the Railway station and other activities we wanted to do. Staff very helpful ensuring we made the most of our couple of days here.

Outlook from our room could have been better.

We stayed in the old part of the hotel which has some rooms that have undergone renovation. The room we stayed in was one of those and was done to a very high standard, bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. Position of the hotel was ideal for walking around Amsterdam, and just over the road from the railway station. Gets 5 stars from my wife and I

Location.very near to amsterdam central station and steps free from train platform until room's door= buggy friendly. Staff are excellent and very sensitive to guest condition. Suitable for family with babies.

The staff for the breakfast weren't around at 8.00 am ! The Conceirge was rude to us and unhelpful to us and others near by

Room was rather smal, very noisy from busy street and tram rings every 5 min.

Small room, kitchen odor, the shower had no curtain and the water spilled all over the floor. The TV remote had dead batteries on arrival and had to call the front desk for it.

€250 a night for two single beds pushed together is not acceptable. When we complained we were ignored.

A very nice hotel with some very nice rooms. Although it is in the city centre, it is very quiet in the room. Good room service. Convenient localisation of the hotel next to the main train station.

I wanted to have a double bed but I got a large bed with two separate mattresses instead. The food in the hotel restaurant was unbelievably expensive - 25 Euro for some bread with asparagus??

Lighting in the room was very poor

The location was of course the main selling point. Right when you come out of the central railstation you see the hotel prominently on the cornor. The room was spacious for european standards. The staff was very accomadating and polite.

There is the main building and then a sort of annex attached next door. I was in the annex portion which is really in need of a make-over. The room might have been nice 10 years ago but it was a bit worn down now. Don't know about the main building. Also, this was my first stay in Amsterdam so I don't know if this hotel is one o the best there or not. However, on a general scale I would consider this to be a 3.5 star hotel at best sad to say. For what I paid I will definitely try a new hotel next time.

Location, location, location. Walk out of the train station and the hotel is right across the street. Clean, great check-in and extremely knowledgeable concierge. Hard to beat.

Great concierge full of excellent advice, good location easily accessible to the train station, trams and metro and the hotel offered a good breakfast and friendly service in the Seasons restaurant. The beding was comfortable and the bathroom was neat clean and modern. For the price, it was a very good value.

Rooms did not become available until after 2. The quiet urban room was not on a high floor as I had requested. The only room available on a high floor faced the Central Station and was noisy so I did not take that but chose the one with no view on the second. You must take 2 elevators to get to the Urban Wing rooms and also go down steps or a ramp. The lighting is too low in the bedroom area and it was difficult to read. Also I was told when I asked for a washcloth that that was available for premium rooms only. Finally make sure you bring the Booking.com and your receipt showing exactly what you prepaid in euros as they didn't always have that record.

Don't have the breakfast in the hotel, it was cold despite being in the heaters. It was also quite tasteless. There are lots of places to get a good breakfast and at half the price !!

It is located very near Amsterdam central station and very near dam square. Many shops and restaurants are nearby.

The room and facilities are older than we expected. The bathroom is not quite clean. The housekeeping is not professional enough, new soap and body lotion are not refilled even they are used up. The room rate is not such worthy for such service.

Very comfortable hotel in great position for walking and sight seeing in Amsterdam. We did not need use trams or public transport at all.

The restaurant really lets this hotel down. Overpriced food with a lack lustre menu. The Tomato Soup was watery and tasteless and service very ordinary.

Beds were not comfortable. Room needs a total upgrade. TV kept coming on without our turning it on.

I thought when I booked with booking .com that I had to pay up front but when I went to the hotel thinking I had paid I was informed that I had to pay in full then. This certainly wasn't made clear when I booked. This may catch some people out.
