The contemporary style restaurant 'Joost' is situated in Hotel Vondel, where you can enjoy the beautiful paintings of Peter Keizer. Here we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In the hotel bar, guests can do business or relax in a comfortable way. This is the ideal place for a cup of coffee, a snack or a drink.

When the weather is good our city garden is open for lunch, drinks and dinner!

Room information

Vondel Loft Suite
This suite is recently renovated and has capacity for four persons. The loft consists of two bedrooms each one floor. Both rooms have their own bathroom. The room on the lowest floor has a bath tub and a walk-in rain shower. The bathroom on the top floor has a walk-in rain shower. The lowest floor has also a big living room and a kitchen. Of course are the rooms equipped with luxurious facilities like flat screens, iPod docking stations and Nespresso machine.

Family Suite
The Vondel Family Suite offers 2 bedrooms with a connecting door. The children’s room has a bunk bed with separate flat screen TV’s, mini bar and its own bathroom with a shower. The parents’ room is a large executive room which offers a comfortable sitting area, a working desk and a spacious bathroom with bathtub.

Some rooms are equipped with air conditioning (subject to availability).

Area information

Hotel Vondel is located in the centre of Amsterdam close to the Museums square (Rijksmuseum van Van Gogh museum), the Leidseplein with a huge variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. The Vondelpark and the major shopping streets are also in close vicinity.

The design is really cool. Charming garden with a cow :)

The bed was too soft. The cleaning lady did not give new supplies of shampoos went they were out, the cups and glasses were dirty.

Steep steps between the room and the bathroom, the romm was very loud and I was woke up a number of times through the night.There was also extensive building work going on.

i stayed in a room beneat the reception, and couldn't sleep because of the noise above my head. this room should not be offered for guests. the reception staff were friendly and offered my free breakfast after sleepless night...

Relaxed but serviceminded atmosphere

The tap in the sink in the bathroom was too close to the bottom of the sink, so i couldnt have my (normal male size) hands between. (room 237). I used the shower to wash hands, which was inconvenient. Seems like a designerror.

Very stylish decoration, comfortable, cosy and quiet. Lovely little garden to have a drink or a snack! Excellent buffet breakfast (including fruit and warm items, pancakes, etc.). It's very central but located in a nicer street, away from the hustle and bustle.
