Extremely small room
As soon as we arrived, we were offered an upgrade to a suite on the 5th floor...We chose the suite with the large jacuzzi bath. Hotel was perfectly located for exploring...It is a beautiful old building...quirky and fits the description as a boutique hotel.. if you want a bland corporate hotel with identical rooms, don't go here...but if you want a real pleasurable stay, this is the place for you.
The breakfast was excellent, in fact that applies to the evening meals as well, and the staff were very helpful.
Cold weather, not your fault.
Location is great. 10 minutes away from the museums.
Price is almost as expensive as London but most of Amsterdam good hotels are like that I guess
The location is great and the staff is very helpful.
The walls are not soundproof or even a little thick so every step or move you can hear outside your door. I was not able to sleep well because my next door neighbors were going in and out and talking in the hallway.
The location was perfect for my adventure. The hotel was in a quiet area and easy to find. Just a few minutes from some of the nicest night spots in Amsterdam.
The wifi service is a little complicated
Helpful staff with good skills in english, cosy, comfortable room and pretty good location
Breakfast wasn't nearby worth €17.50, wi-fi was a bit laggy with a phone, room was very cold when arrived and took couple of hours to heat up
Good location, small hotel,friendly staff
Cleanliness cloud be better
Staff especially the ladies at the front desk were really very helpful.
The room was extremely small although all the facilities were available in the room. Literally there was no space to walk.
The location, the staff, the quick service of roomservice.
Too much noise from the street and could enjoy fresh bedsheets...
The location; good bed linen & towels.
Looked nothing like photos. Poor quality pillows; extremely noisy ground floor room (No.115), people standing outside smoking and talking loudly; the odd drunk staggering past; traffic noise; road works & drill from early A.M. Totally impractical design, not one drawer in the entire room! Requested two separate beds, got two beds pushed together with separate bedding...!!?? (two middle aged - platonic - people sharing room). Shower cubicle small with oversized shower head, water cascaded out of cubicle soaking the bathmat! Rather odd sink made of resin (granite) with no bowl, just a sloping channel. Impossible to fill with water and you spit onto the slope when brushing teeth - weird!
Excellent location, friendly staff, fair prices
Very noisy cleaning room next to me while I was trying to enjoy my latecheckout :(
We thought the staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
The central heating was vicious but we controlled it OK
The stuff is really nice and helpful. Perfect location: all the most popular tourist areas are reachable by foot in 10-20 minutes. Comfortable bed.
Walls in our room were so thin that we literally lived together with that loud asian family. Completely ruined our romantic plans. A lot of dust on paintings, behind the table, on the wardrobe and so on. It is very important indicator of cleanliness for us. Probably it's the season but I find the price we paid too high for the value. Maybe, we would return to the hotel again if it costed less and room would be cleaner.
I was really pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was modern yet warm. The staff were particularly helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the city center, but somehow you still have the feeling that you're in a neighborhood.
The room. We had an upgrade at out arrival for a very nice family room fully equiped.
Very annoying with different complicated codes to wifi. Always a queue for assistance in reception
Nice reception area, very good restaurant personnel
Helpful staff Lovely location by park Comfy bed
Wifi by 24h-only codes, printed on big pieces of paper - Swisscom provider is quite outdated, not in line with the rest of hotel ethic. Sound insultation not great - typical of old buildings - ground floor rooms by lift can be quite noisy.
It is a visually very pleasing, chic hotel. Wonderful, friendly staff.
The beds and lumpy pillows were so uncomfortable we barely slept. Their wi-fi connection system was terrible. Coffee and tea at breakfast are undrinkable, the bread is terrible. All in all, the quality/choice of breakfast is poor, always has been.
comfy bed, room quite & temperature controllable
slightly expensive, but thankfully you get what you pay for.
liked the location , not far away from any place around
Nice art in the room
Atmosphere Good breakfast
Problems with the shower system.
