We have a booking for you to arrive 23-April. Can you please tell us your arrival time and mobile telephone number. We need this information for our planning since we do not have a 24-hour reception. Our check-in starts strictly at 15.30, and only on appointment, as we have written on the internet. Still, you should tell me your arrival time which is strictly between 15.30 and 20.00 hours. We try to avoid a situation whereby you arrive and no one to check you in. And we do not want people hanging in front of our bed and breakfast... To keep a modest image. Please also note that no smoking in front of our door or neighbours' doors.

Location Not really clean, dirts, windows broken. At the moment when we arrived there was just one guy in the hostel (seems he was the only staff member in the hostel), completely unprofessional. The hostel don't have reception, so when you wanna ask some questions actually you cant. No towels in the room, which should be even if its just hostel. In general - we wouldn't recommend this hostel for staying.

It was adequate for us. The room consisted of 3 beds and a bin which is all we needed. The tram was right outside the front door which was perfect. Didn't feel very welcome at all.

The deli downstairs where there was fresh, healthy food available at half the B&B breakfast price!! In arrival there was no welcome, just taken to my room, no assistance given by male staff member who just waited at top of very steep stairs while I struggled with a heavy suitcase. I paid cash on arrival as requested had to ask where bathroom was. Was not advised where to find kitchen/dining area or where even a cup of tea/coffee could be made. My room had a TV that did not work, a sink and gas hob....but no utensils, cup or even simply a paper cup for a glass of water. The cupboards and drawers under the sick were full of 'odds and ends', a plastic bag of someone's belongings and other sundry items. As I paid €60 for this stay I was not happy to then be expected to pay €7:50 for breakfast....although I would not have known where to fi d said breakfast as my room was in the building adjoining the main B&B entrance. All in all I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone.

- Very noisy environment - Hotel, rooms and surrounding don't look anything like the photos on the website - A sterile white 3 x 3m room with two beds. No decoration or accessoires what so ever. - Very dangerous and steep stairs with loose railings.

Rude staff dirty bathroom dirty bedding dirty bedroom a dirty towel will cost you 1 euro. So we get there, ringing the bell for 5 minuets, get out the confirmation and call the hotel to let us in. The lady I spoke to was really rude, didnt understand why. I know the place was cheep, but this was my 8th trip to ams and never had such a bad experience with accommodation, sorry Vondelpark B&B.

This is defiantly a rip-off place, I will never come back again!!! The "hotel" is actually a three room apartment in an old building. The staff (I.E. the landlady who barely speaks English) moved my things to another room without me knowing or permitting. The building door was broken into and when the landlady fixed the lock- me and another guest got locked in. There is no doorman, neither reception, a store next door collects the money and give you the keys. No towels, no phone, no internet, no heat, nothing to do in the neighborhood. In so few word, stay away from this place!

Location was alright I suppose The staff were weird. We got 3 calls asking when we were checking out and every time we said 1030 am at check out time, then on that morning they knocked on the door at 930am and asked again what time we were leaving. Very annoying. Also there may as well have been cardboard between our room and the people next to ours as we could hear every word they were saying.

Let me say that the reviews for this breakfast going far! Ms.Cicy ( the house owner ) was on time for the check-in, she was sooo super Friendly / Helpful and works hard for her b&b ( really !!!). Everything was clean ( the building / the room / bathroom ), it’s like a studio with shared badroom in an excellent location ( also for the car ). We visited Amsterdam to see Amsterdams life and not for the tv or to take a British breakfast with the other tourist ( oooohh no thanks )!! You receive the keys and let’s enjoy Amsterdam waauuww ((-_-)) - I very recommend this place really !!!!!!!!! Thanks again Cicy !

I only liked the location. I didn't like the stuff, it was not clean, it's very basic and I know a few of other B&B . You didn't have even a little light for reading at night time, or a little table or a chair for writing on your computer, not a proper place for your clothes, the Breakfast which I didn't try could only be served in your room so as you have not a chair or a little table the option was to have on your bed.. Toilets not clean. I would never recommend this place. I mean I saw for the same and even less price other very charming B&B in Amsterdam where I will defenetly stay next time. For your one reputation I sincerely would strike this B&B from your list. It would be ok for a Backpacker but for a much less price.

This place is horrible!! The room had 2 mattresses on the floor. It's not a bed and breakfast, there's no breakfast, there's no tea and coffee facilities as it says in the description. There's no towels. There's one bathroom for the whole building. We got charged a €50 deposit that we weren't told about until we got there. We decided we didn't want to stay there, so got a really good deal and a lovely hotel nearby. We came back the next day to return the keys and because there's no reception, you can't contact the woman. I found a phone number for her, which I had to call from my uk mobile, costing a fortune. When I spoke to her she basically shouted at me for a while and then phoned back to tell me to leave the keys with the man in the shop downstairs and to get my deposit back. Absolutely awful place to stay.

- Worst location - way too expensive for what you get ( a small bed) under hostel quality - bed and breakfast? There is no breakfast - there is no staff, if you need something, you are by yourself - 50 euro deposit( wtf? ) - 25 euros/ hour if you check in after 20 hrs - you have to arrange your check in time with the owner of the hotel - check out at 10 am and you cant leave the luggage - reception from 11 to 8 ( and there isnt a recrption actually) - the owner hates latin american people - shared bathroom ( 1 toilet) with a whole building ( 20 people) - there are no real walls you can hear EVERYTHING - you have to pay for a towel - the information and the pictures the hotels shows is fake everything in this place is fake - DONT GO TO THIS PLACE, FOR REAL IS THE WORST PLACE IN AMSTERDAM IS UNDER THE WORST HOSTEL QUALITY AND YOU PAY WAAAAY TOO MUCH

Nothing. Avoid! There's no staff. You have to check-in (from 15:00 at convened times) in a nearby shop and pay in advance before seeing the room. Your bed is a matress in the floor, without furniture. No warm or cold air. No garderobe. No tv. No security. The coldest bathroom of my life. All the installations are below hostel-level.

This is not a Bed & Breakfast, because there is no breakfast available at all. We had to pay cash for our full stay upfront (4 nights) and after the first night, a man started construction behind a partition (not even a full wall separating us from where he was using a table saw). He started construction and sawing at 730am. We asked him to stop and he said he didn't speak english. We were on the 2nd floor (which is the first real floor, the 1st floor is just a landing). There is no one else (except this construction worker) around during the day or night. They come and go. There are no phones so we could not call her to complain (we have American cell phones which don't work in the Netherlands). The same guy started at 7am again on monday. Our bed was a futon with twin sheets doubled up. All other rooms were twin beds/single beds pushed together. 6-7 people have to share the one bathroom on the 3rd floor. Site said coffee/tea maker. None. Site said wifi was available for 3.50 euros/hour (rip off to begin with) but when we asked the lady said it does not work. There was a huge stack of molding boards in the hallway we had to step over each time. Stay here if you like to pay way too much for what wouldn't even meet the criteria for a hostel. No phone, no coffee, no information for tourists, construction going on, and sharing a bathroom with everyone else in the building that has no trash can in it, not shelves, not really anything but a working, dirty shower, sink, and toilet.

Location was OK. Bathroom facilities were kept clean. It was just a room, not a B & B. Room was very small, though we had expected that to an extent. The building was still a work in progress, I don't know why they didn't finish the reno's before renting rooms. If all you want is a room - that is all you will get. We thought it was pretty poor value.

Absolutelly filthy, dirty. No emergency exits, no fire extinguishers, matresses on the floor, lights that doesn't work, rooms too small for double beds, only one single bathroom in the house for 6 or 7 rooms and located on the top floor, very steep stairs, impossible for people with suitcases. And what is a "bed and breakfast" without a breakfast? Big joke, to expensive. Not even suitable for backpackers that travel budget as it's way over priced.
