Hotel Waalwijk    

Had an evening meal in the hotel and the quality was excellent.

Nice and friendly. We had a very decorated room which was part of the decorations in the hotel which is also a galery for a dutch artist.

This is not a four star hotel. Maybe it was in 1980s but not today. Outdated room and small bathroom with a shower curtain. There was dust everywhere. If you are allergic to home dust, stay away! There was a kettle with free coffee and tea in the room but I would not recommend you to use it. Kettle was too old and dirty. The cups were not clean as well. Actualy they put them in the cabinet so I guess they don't want us to use them as well :) Walls are too thin therefore you can hear all the outside noise. Regarding buffet breakfast, briefly it has fair quantity of foods but no quality. We left disappointed and hungry. The hotel is overpriced considering what they offer as a 4 star.

Near Park Efteling, Friendly staff. Clean room.

Close to the Efteling for a decent price

The staff was very polite.The rooms are clean and very comfortable. We liked the variety of the breakfast as well as very delicious.

On the second evening when we arrived backed there were receptions, and we could not park by side. Even on the streets there are no parking places.

Great hotel in a great position near Efteling Park. We took a family room of 5 (the only hotel we found that has such a big room) which was very comfortable, well equipped, and a large bathroom. Breakfast was included and fitted to our needs. מלון מצויין ומאוד מומלצץ לאחרי אפטלינג פארק.

Convenient location to visit De Efteling. Clean room and bathroom and a good breakfast make this hotel a good value for money. The staff at the reception was helpful with directions and also helpful to solve problems.

We loved this hotel! We stayed in a family room for 5 and it was fantastic! It was large enough so we didn't feel on top of each other and the beds were comfortable. The hotel admittedly looks nothing from outside but inside it is stylish, attractive and welcoming. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and although breakfast was not that varied it was perfectly acceptable. Our room was very hot and when we asked for another fan one was brought up immediately. I really can't fault this hotel, it is ideally located for parc efteling and easy walk to some lovely restaurants, ice cream parlours and shops and the area is great. The staff were polite and helpful and we can't wait to return! A must for anyone with children wanting to visit parc efteling as on bus route or 15euros for taxi!

Our second stay at the Hotel and certainly up to the Hotels usually good standards. Very Helpful staff and accomodation is very suitable - the catering and cooking quality is excellent.

Cleaning staff were a little lazy on the weekend we stayed. (27-29 Jul), They were obviously busy with organising the family rooms on the top floor and decided to adjurn for the weekend on Saturday midday, leaving all the vacated rooms unmade-up and open. Very poor for security in the interests of the Hotel, and generally lowered the high tidy standards. Was it a cleaning staff walk-out ?

They like most hotels insist in providing quilts for the beds even in summer. There wad no alternative so you either sweat or freeze.

Great location for a visit to the Efteling Breakfast buffet was excellent

It was warm in the room, fortunately the room came equipped with a ventilator The elevator doesn´t run up to the family rooms and those are the ones that have the most things to take up to the room.

I liked a lot the good food and the kindness of the personal.

The staff is very friendly and speaks English fluently.

When we arrived there was a sort of big party (maybe wedding) going on. This was not a real problem, but they said that we cannot use the restaurant until 20:00 o'clock. And it was quite early at that time. Trying to find another (good) restaurant in Waalwijk is rather difficult. Bottom line, they should announce these events on their website in order to avoid such inconveniences.

Overall a quite Ok basic hotel. Free Wifi

Rooms were outdated and needed some new paint (dead-mosquito stains etc). Strange to have Wifi for free and having to pay for wired internet. Restaurant was pretty expensive for the delivered quality ... I asked for the grilled salmon and received a tagliatelli with pieces of salmon in it, full of sauce and french fries ... strange combination! Anyhow, next time I go for the NH hotel nearby.
