the location was excellent for visiting the city sights. it was quiet, the staff were superb and couldn't do enough. It was not 'designer' but was spotlessly clean. secure parking.there was a superb bar/restaurant very near the hotel. In fact we are thinking about returning next year, |

An excellent hotel. Comfortable with charming staff who couldn't do enough for one. Had dinner one night and the food was very good, both in quality and value. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. I really enjoyed my stay. Nothing about the hotel itself, but I did have difficulty in finding it, partly because of all the work going on outside Central Station. So be prepared with a good map beforehand, the one which I printed off with my booking turned out to be useless ! |

This was an excellent city break, nice rooms, very polite welcoming staff, good secure offstreet parking, lovely beer garden and good advice for transport around Rotterdam. All in all an excellent base for us as a group of friends to attend the Judo Championships and sightsee. |

The hotel is good positioned in Rotterdam for business and shopping. Nice and quite atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. I can recommend the hotel to any business or holiday traveler. |

I got a triple room on the third floor. The ceiling was beautifully decorated: old style. The waterpressure from the shower was a bit low. Also the breakfast could have been better: fresher fruit for example. |

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter and all requests regarding her cot and meals were attended to efficiently and cheerfully. The in-house breakfast and dinners were delicious and of generous proportions, and the hotel's private garden provided a picturesque and tranquil outlook from the dining room. |

Availability of parking space. Flexibility to extend this facility for a few extra hours. Spacious, clean and quiet room, despite old looks of the property. Democratic Wireless Internet prices. Minibar available but not filled |

We loved the garden and family atmosphere, also the large room which retained some of the period features. Just a detail - the mini bar was not working and there was no bottled water in the room. |

The hotel staff was very friendly. We received all touristic info we wished at the reception desk. Assistance for parking was perfect. You can really call Van Walsum a charm hotel! |
