TV and private roof terrace
Had to walk up five flights of stairs
Close to tram stop and museum quarter. Staffs are good.
Stairs are so narrow and steep such that 2 persons cannot cross each other. I cannot recommend this feature for senior people. Bathroom is so narrow. There was no partition between toilet and shower, so I must be careful not to make the bathroom flooded.
Greg location, lovely little room with everything you need, bit noisy when people are coming and going from other rooms but an old house so what do you expect? Lots of character, decent breakfast and lovely powerful shower
Bed was a bit too soft, and tea/ coffee supplies weren't topped up and no milk was provided
The air in the room was not the best. It was very dry and the room also had a strange smell.
Nice reception, 10 minutes to the park, Quite
I got locked out for 2 hours and the security guard was sleeping, Far from center,
Tha location is excellent especially if one is interested in visiting museums. District also has many picturesque places
The kitchen suite is poorly furnished. It did not even contain a simple coffee maker or tea pot. All the dishes, glasses, and utensils were sticky and had to be washed
The receptionist was one of the best. The location is a walking distance to the city center.
They charge you for internet. The stairs were very steep. The way you have to close the door makes a lot of noise.
The location The room itself The cleaning staff
People on the front desk were indifferent to unhelpful - you had paid / they had to be there. No effort was made to make a connection, to help with anything (including getting the bags down from the room via really steep stairs) - wifi was expensive - a really disappointing place to stay
The staff was friendly.. good conditioned room.. you can use tram to the center passing near the hotel.. too close to the museums just 5 mins by walk..
The steps were too steep.. you can not smoke inside the room..
Ample breakfast, very nice staff, flair of a tradtitional Amsterdam bourgeois townhouse, very close to Amsterdam's main museums (Rijk's, Stedelijk, Van Gogh)
Very steep stairs (keeps you fit, however ;-)
Location was easy to walk into the centre.
We were told that we could leave our cases upon check out and call back for them later however there was no staff in the property at midday when we went back and we couldn't get in to collect our luggage. Eventually a guest let us in otherwise we could have missed our flight back. The hall and stairs is in need of refurbishment.
I love this hotel, especially its atmosphere and its location. Every time I have come to Amsterdam over the last twenty years, I have stayed there.
The last two visits the rooms I stayed in had chairs with broken seats. They were uncomfortable.
The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were very nice, location was brilliant for the museums and the tram stop for the city centre was just around the corner. I would definitely return to the hotel Washington on my next visit
Variety of breakfast foods. Comfortable small room with tiny but adequate ensuite. Clean and quiet.
Hot breakfast food not so good - all overcooked. Having to go downstairs, outside and back in for breakfast in the rain!
no wifi！！！why i need to pay the wifi！！
the matress, the stairs, the value-money balance
the room, the location, the interior
the stairs without elevator
Reception desk and staff.
It cannot be improved unless it is moved. It is just an old house with a lot of noise by other people or outside. It does not have an elevator that you have to bring up your baggae through the very, very steep stairways. If the room is on the third floor, you should expect hard exercise. Compared to the hotels room charge, it is very poor hotel. It is not equipped with the airconditioner. I will not recommend this hotel. Anybody who wants to spend a lot of money or can suffer inconvenience because of no other hotel finding in Amsterdam may stay there.
+ The room was very nice and spacious + Quite neighborhood + Friedly staff
- Location is near Rijksmuseum, a little bit away from the center - overpriced for what you get
The breakfast and the team are amazing.
The hotel don't have elevator and AR conditions.
Balcony, and room was cozy.
Stairs, The hotel was too far from central.
Good Location, Average price , Had our own bathroom
steep stairs to get to rooms, small bathroom
Breakfast though a little more fresh fruit but otherwise good. They let us use the computer to check a few things. Location. Close enough to museums but far enough from insanity. Skylight in small attic space was great but really needed a desk lamp and towel racks. The 76 stair climb to get to our room. Had to earn your rest.
A little more fresh fruit at breakfast. Missing hotel info book in room.
Large and comfy room, nice breakie, friendly staff, location was good.
I thought that the little patio garden should be tidied up and look nice. There was rubbish laying around, weeds, and unswept. It was just outside our window so I could not help but notice.
High quality for reasonable price
A very steep staircase
