We were looking for a low-budget hotel and got Westertoren. It is a quite nice hotel, where you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly and flexible and ready to help. Inspite of the steep stairs, I rush to recommend this hotel to any low-budget travellers, and others as well. It's central location is indeed a big plus. |

Balcony and location were great! Stuff was helpful and breakfast was ok, it was also nice to have the possibility to make tea/coffee at your own room. Room was far too small! We didn't have own toilet in our room, it was on the corridor (not nice). |

the receptionist, he might be owner of the hotel, was very helpful. The best in the hotel was its location and delivery of breakfast to your room is a nice way to wake up. breakfast was normal and room was clean. good value for money... Double rooms have bathrooms with showers but without toilets!! Toilets are shared facilities and it is very hard to recognise while booking on internet. Because of that, I changed my room to triple with the help of receptionist for slightly more price. |

The location is good Wireless not working all the time, breakfast does not change for 4 days, shared toilet facility is not stated clearly in the hotel information, some visitors were very nosiy when I'm staying there so it is hard to sleep sometimes |

Good location, nice beds, breakfast is at the room, you pick the time. There are so many stairs, I know that this is how the buildings were built (small) but you should all be prepared to carry your luggage about 100 steep stairs. The shower and toilet is very small and there's no real door in between that and the beds (plastic door/sheet), the sink is in the shower and there's no mirror above the sink. |

We have stayed here once before and I think we will continue to do so on our trips to Amsterdam. Its very simple but in a great location, breakfast brought to you in the morning, you have a little fridge in your room to fill with bits and bobs. This hotel is in a nice area but still only 10-15 mins from red light district. We like it a lot. I have to mention the stairs!!!! They are a bad thing to this hotel, mainly trying to get your suitcase up and down them. |

The breakfast in bed is a great feature. It was nice to have a bathroom in the room with us, too. The stairs are treacherous, but staying so close to Dam Square was worth it. |

1- The staff were exceptionally welcoming, 2- the room for 4 persons was well equipped and clean, 3- breakfast was good, 4- the location was suitable like most hotels in Amsterdam: the tight stairs |

It is fair enough compared to other prices. Quite near from the city center and central station. It is ok for couple of nights in Amsterdam. Due to very high roof, the stairs are almost imposible and risky at some point.Breakfast in room is very nice, but there are not many options of choose or repite. There are no parking for bikes. It seems that if you will not arrive on time for check-in, you must phone them and for me that should be unnecessary |

The hotel is in a very good location and is a good choice for a city break. The stairs, it would of been great if there was a lift. |

Nice location near tram stop and close to the train station. The management was attentive and helpful. We received a free upgrade for our second night. Very comfortable hotel with breakfast served in bed. We loved it! Steep stairs. |

Location was good, about 5 minutes walk from Dam Square. View from the room was quite nice. The stairs were absolutely terrible, approx 50 stairs at a 60 degree angle when carrying a case if a health and safety hazard. |

The hotel is in a great place, less than 5 minute walk from Dam Square and Madame Tussaud's. There's a large grocery store right down the street as well if you want to eat cheaply. The small refrigerator was adequate for our needs and the hotel staff spoke good english and were always ready to help us with any questions. Free wi-fi was excellent as well, not quick but still free. Some people have commented on the stairs and they are quite a surprise when you see them but they're not really that bad, definately not reason enough to not stay here. The only thing that I would say I didn't like would be the breakfast. The breakfast included a slice of meat for each person, 3 peices of wheat bread, a joghurt, some laughing cow cheese and some jam and a hard boiled egg and some juice. All of this was for each person so it was enough but just not what I enjoy for breakfast. If I went back I would forego the breakfast and just go out somewhere to eat or go to the grocery store and get something. |
