The staff were awesome and the location ideal. Also it was excellent value for money. We had a brilliant time! And came back home a little bit fitter after all the steep stairs :)
Perfect location & best price
You have to climb those stairs man ;)
Compact but very functional room - lots of useful things. Excellent fast wifi. Would definitely stay again despite the negatives.
Bathroom drain smelt moderately bad, had to keep the door closed. Cleaning lady needs to knock before entering. The stairs are fairly normal for Amsterdam - if you have a mobility issue than in Amsterdam you will really need to book somewhere with a lift.
Staff members are super friendly and willing to give you tips and suggestions about everything.
The steep stairs. Very small room and the smell of cigarettes from the next room was overwhelming.
The location is great! No noise during the night. No smooking at the hotel
The breakfast could be better but it was nice.
- location in center - breakfast in the bedroom - balcony - staff friendly Be aware that the stairways are long, narrow and at a steeper angle. There is no lift. So no big luggage.
there was some work in the street all night !!! They were working on the tramway tracks (grinding, drilling). The hotel has no double-glazed windows so the noise kept us awake all night, and when I say noise it was really loud. Couldn't get a refund.
Staff were lovely and let us keep our luggage in the office as we checked out At 11 am and flight wasn't until 8pm
The stairs are horrendous and the breakfast in bed was bread with cheese.
wifi, staff, location (close to all facilities, supermarket in the next building, anna frank house and dam square just in 5 min walking), nice breakfast in room
crasy stairs %) small room
booked double/twin but toilet was outside and shared, instead of private and en suite as per booking The main problem were the insects, pretty sure bedbugs, at least the guy at reception admitted that I killed about 20 bedbugs but couldn't offer any solution!! they didn't provide a room in the hotel or elsewhere else and they didn't even offer a refund. Only stupid excuses, insect yes they were in my bedroom but they didn't come from the hotel but form outside or it's "normal" is the period of the year... could you believe that?!?!
Very friendly family run hotel. Some steep stairs to be aware of but very comfortable, good location at a good price.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi worked really well and the location was perfect!
the location is awesome!! the workers of the hotel are very nice the room was clean and the beds are comfortable:)
we had the tripple room, that supposed to be for three people, but it's just too small and more fits couples.
the hotel and the staff was very good the room is perfect for this price also the breakfast was very tasty we hope to come back to this hotel again adam@poly
good location, quiet, helpful staff, last breakfast on request (early check-out) delivered in the evening, good wi-fi
steep steps, hard pillows, not cheap
Great location close to Dam Square.
This was not a problem for me but there is a very long flight of steep stairs that would be very difficult for someone with heavy luggage or bad knees! The room was small but very neat and comfortable beds with nice fluffy down comforters.
Quite central, clean room, adequate breakfast served in room.
Lots of stairs to reach reception and rooms
I liked the staff...nice and helpful. The location is great. wifi works in the room. possibility to leave your bag on your last day. I will stay there again, great place overall!
Too expensive for what it is (very small room for 75€ / night). The breakfast isnt good and the walls are a bit thin so it is a bit noisy in the morning. Bed just under window so the sunlight will wake you up early...
Blackout curtains and a deck leading onto the street.
Very steep steps but this could be the same in other hotels. The room had been square but is now an l shape since they built a coffin like bathroom in the corner. Just horrible with 3 people sharing one bathroom. Tiniest beds I've slept in, awful pillows, no air con or fan. It was horrible. Worst hotel for the money out of 50 hotels I've stayed in around Europe. Breakfast is weird and served in your room - boiled eggs and bread yuck!
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and good value for money.
The staircase, after long day out, specially if you staying on the top floor.....Not easy at all!!!
Breakfast delivered to room.Location.Good sized room.
Friendly staff and location was great
Small rooms and bathrooms Stairs were incredibley steep Breakfast was very average
Its fabulous location and the staff were sincerely warm. The basic breakfast is excellent enough to be breakfast of champions (Dutch style). The hotel is near Anne Frank's house, Tulip Museum, the breath taking scenic canals.
Very steep stairs, one wrong step: imagine broken bones and finding yourself lying down like a broken Marionette at the bottom of the stairs. The room is full of fibre dust
The hotel is about 5 minutes walking from the Dam square and very close to all of the touristic attractions. The bulding is old but traditional and very clean.
There was not internet access and the breakfast was poor.
The staff is attencious and polite. The bedroom didn't have a view to the street... but was even better... because there was no noise.
The breakfast is really poor and I don't like the fact to be served in the bedroom (they don't have a space to serve the breakfast). The stairs are terrible to carry the bags. But a guy from the hotel helped when we arrived.
