The widows were drafty... the curtains moved when the wind blew outside. It could be cold in winter.
Walls are quite thin with not much acoustic privacy between the next room.
As a place to stay, the hotel provides good basic accommodation... It is well located, well kept, and the staff is very accommodating.
Whether or not you like the hotel will depend on what type of traveller you are. If you are happy with a minimalist very small room with comfortable bed, good shower, and separate toilet, you will enjoy staying here. If you are looking for anything in the way of 'luxury' accommodation, you should look elsewhere.
Breakfast is also basic, served in room, with enough bread, butter, meat, cheese, and preserves to make a good sandwich, plus some fruit juice and yogurt. You make your own coffee.
There have been a lot of comments on the stairs, yes they are quite steep and narrow (there is no lift).... There are 20 steps to a small first landing, then another 18 to the hotel office. From there it is up another 20 or so steps between floors to go up to your room.
If you are fit, adventurous, and want to experience a small Dutch hotel, consider trying.
