Hotel de Wiemsel - A Hampshire Classic Hotel is family Van der Maas' dream. The crown in the emblem symbolises this family's intentions... to put a crown on top of Twente's proverbial hospitality.

The renowned restaurant de Wanne, an Old-Saxon farm-restaurant started this tradition in 1968. The crown upon this successful start was the opening of Hotel de Wiemsel - A Hampshire Classic Hotel in 1978. It was introduced as...a different hotel. It soon attracted guests from every part of the globe.

Through the years Hotel de Wiemsel - A Hampshire Classic Hotel and Restaurant de Wanne have given shape to the crown symbol of hospitality and both have been frequently complimented on it ever since.

Today Ton en Barbara van der Maas would describe Hotel de Wiemsel - A Hampshire Classic Hotel as a dynamical hotel. Together with their staff they give the hotel its signature.
