The stylish restaurant of Het Witte Paard breathes the perfect atmoshere for an intimate dinner or a business conversation. Here you can enjoy various delicious dishes. You can have dinner in the restaurant every day from 5 pm until 9 pm. From Monday through Friday from noon until 2 pm you can have lunch. (book a table in advance) The cosy lounge and bar are perfectly suitable for an aperitif or a nightcap.

All our rooms have been romantically decorated and are equipped with modern facilities. The junior suite is more spacious yet and offers a large sitting area and extra facilities.

Area information

In the vicinity of Het Witte Paard you can enjoy the panoramic view. At a stone's throw distance you find a lake called the Leekstermeer, where you can make magnificent canoo-trips. The hotel is also an ideal base for making cycling-tours, there is the Nienoord-route, the Abel Tasman-route and the 'meren en maden'-route. Bicycle rent can be arranged from the hotel, where you can also get route descriptions for the bicycle tours. In the cheerful University town of Groningen you can visit expositions, museums or the Martini-tower. You needn't go far away from Het Witte Paard to find all the ingredients for a succesful stay.

Route Description

From Drachten
From the A7 take exit 34 'Leek' and turn left.
At the first junction turn right in direction 'Leek'.
Take the first rotary intersection ¾ and turn right in direction 'Midwolde' .
Follow the road and pass the villages 'Midwolde' and 'Lettelbert until. 'Oostwold.
You will find our hotel on the left side of the main street.
From Groningen
Take the A7 in direction 'Drachten' and take exit 35
At the traffic lights go straight ahead.
Follow the road and turn after driving over the bridge to the left in direction 'Oostwold'
Go at the first road left and drive over a small bridge.
Follow the way and when you arrive at 'Oostwold' you will find our hotel on your right handsite.

Public transport:
From Station Groningen you can take line 88 to Oostwold every hour (except on Sunday). Within 20 minutes you will reach the hotel, get out at stop 'Het Witte Paard'.
