It was full of bed-bugs, extremely dirty, unsanitary, unfriendly and unsafe. This hotel should be closed down as soon as possible - people are putting their health in danger while staying there. Extremely dirty, millions of bed-bugs that attack you every night, unsanitary bathroom and toilet, unsanitary restaurant area, noisy, very unfriendly and rude staff. I suffered more than 100 bits of the bed-bugs that lead to an allergic reaction including headaches, fever and unbearable itching that lasts for more than a week. I stayed only 3 days instead of 6. Still waiting for the refund of my money. Horrible experience! Booking.Com should guarantee the safety of those who are booking through your service!

location. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I paid far too much. I got hand towels for drying myself with after the shower and they were dirty, and I had to go down and ask for new ones each time. The room was horrible with woodchip paper that was peeling and the paint cracking off. Some parts were just plasterboard. They had a cheek charging me so much. I know now never to stay at that hotel again and book further in advance when future festivals are on.

Part of the staff was nice (afternoon and evening) the others were really unfriendly. They actually smoked inside the reception. The location was the only thing that was pleasant (it was close to the central station). This hotel is crap! The building itself is falling apart. There are cigarette burns in the sheets and in the bathtub. There was absolutely no space in the room. No curtains on the windows. Also, there were paper towels in the windows to absorb the humidity. The room was incredibly dirty, dust all over the place. Plus, you couldn't have shower standing because the ceiling was too close to your head. There was a window from which people outside could see into the bathroom. The kitchen ware was very dirty. Do not stay in this hotel!!!

The only thing that I liked about this hotel was, that I didnt have problem to cancel the other two night that I resevred I thought it was a rip off !!! I paid 140 euro to stay in hostel it wasnt even a full hotel , the bathroom smelled like if someone died in it, its was beyond dirty, so much dust on the furinture , it wasnt even a sercure room the window didnt lock and was acessable from the out side, the window curtains were all broken and missing hanging hooks, even the stairs to the room was a hasle with a loose hand rail made it unsafe to go up and down , I wish I could get my money back !! just glade the returned the money back for the two days I didnt stay there!!

Dangerous for health! Furniture is too old & has bedbugs. They bite people during the night. It provoked allergy in my case. I had to changed location and booked another hotel, cause i was not able to suffer anymore. They didn't give my money back neither for nights i didn't use nor for medicine I had to buy. Location is not the best and personal are unhelpful. Internet did not work!

very central yet not that noisy, some rooms with view on the River. Breakfast not too bad for a cheap Hotel Pictures in the descrition must be 10 years old at least. All chairs in breakfast room and my room where heavily stained as where bed sheets, matresses of both beds where worn out; Black fungus at various places in shower room, cockroach in room under pillow whihc i killed and used other bed - housekkeping at next day removed remainders of cockroach but left sheets with grime of it on the bed. Heating was disfunctional and needed 3 requests to get it repaired, TV disfunctional.

The hotel is disgusting! Not only infested with bed bugs, but the staff did not care. Shower head was broken and they said it would be fixed. It was not....so no shower for our 2 day stay!! Warning to travellers.....STAY Away!!!! The hotel should be removed from the list of places to stay by the appropriate Amsterdam authority.

When we checked in, we advised that we would be leaving at 5 30 in the morning, and the gentleman on the counter was very kind, and told us that our breakfast would be on the counter in the breakfast room. When we checked out, the man at reception was very rude, and told us that breakfast was at 7. When we tried to explain that we had organised an early breakfast, he continued to be rude, and all of a sudden his English was a lot worse. Also, we could not open the front door to leave, and he refused to assist us. As we paid for breakfast (included in price) I would like a refund of this amount. Also, it was good that bathroom smelled like bleach, but your cleaner should also us a brush, to remove the mould in the bathroom

The only thing that was good in this hotel was the location. The hotel was very close to center of Amsterda. We not reccomend this hotel. It was my worst experience during my trip. The hotel was very dirty and old. During the night a rat entered in our room. The room was very dirty and the bathroom was terrible. The hotel does not have an good infrastructure, because the elavator not exist and the ladder was very tight. The smell was very stinky.

Very kind and friendly staff! I stayed in 3 different rooms during my stay, and the room in the basement had a faulty shower, which flooded when I used it. The bathroom in that room was very cold. The last room I stayed in had a beautiful view, but due to the traffic, it was very noisy. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The wifi connection in all 3 rooms was very poor.

The central location of the hotel was a crucial element to this hotel and indeed it was only a 10 minute wall from the tourist hub of Amsterdam (de wallen etc). I was wary of the extremely poor reviews and came to the conclusion that this hotel is definitely not one to bring your girlfriend to, but suits the purpose when traveling with a friend for the Amsterdam experience. Our expectations were low so the only thing that bothered us was that breakfast stock was extremely low and that by the time we arrived to eat there was hardly anything left and instead of restocking the unfriendly lady tending the breakfast cleared up instead of restocking, even though it was still breakfast time.

Very central to red light area and coffeeshops etc. Room was standard, but clean. Very strong smell of fresh paint and painters doddling about during the day was a good sign that this hotel was picking itself up (as you see from pictures and reviews it doesnt seem too good). Be assured that this hotel is perfect for the price, with free breakfast consisted of toast, ham, cheese, cereal, jam, marmelade, nutella, tea, coffee, orange juice. Considering it was free, it was fine to kickstart your day. Quick walk from centraal station. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we asked for information about tours and they give us maps and directions etc Stairs inside are very steep, but so are all the stairs everywere in Amsterdam lol. Apart from that there isnt much too say, we had a great time and would reccommend.

Some of the staff were helpful and went the extra mile to provide information . we did not like the room allotted to us and he was able to immediately offer an alternate room. The whole hotel needs to be re-done.. The rooms were small and dingy.. Walls had leaks on them.. Eerie corridors leading to clusters of rooms... At night if anyone walked huge amount of clumping noises were heard by the others. The bathroom had a perennial stink and was sub standard.. The initial room was so small that we could not have moved around at all.. And it was in the attic!!! Luckily the reception was able to move us. The breakfast was cold.. All in all not a happy experience.

Good location. Nice view (new library, Nemo by Renzo Piano). Potential to be a great hotel building (unfortunately its badly neglected and poorly maintained). Very very dirty !!! everything is dirty: walls, floor, ceiling and everything inside. Never seen anything like it! Bedding was not clean nor the towels. We had to ask to be changed. We got few strange bites (bedbugs? Or some kind of insect I would guess). Tv with no remote control. Single duvet covers on double bed. Bathroom was horrible and dangerous with exposed wires next to shower. its a shame as it has a potential to be a very nice place!

The room smelt of dirty socks, the bathroom was dirty, the tv didn't work, there wasn't even a cup to drink from; no salt & pepper at breakfast, half a dozen people standing around with nowhere to sit; I was told in the afternoon that if I wanted a coffee I should go down the street & find a cafe. A breakfast companion said it was the most expensive of her hotels, and the worst. I still have several bug bites from that one night's stay.
