The location and complimentary breakfast. The hotel room was not clean and there were old cigarette buts on the floor. Also, we booked the hotel with the understanding that we would not be paying until we got there because that's what it said on both booking.com as well as the hotel website. However, once we got there the staff told me the $600 had already been charged to my card. When I asked to get that taken off and transfered to another credit card we were told we could only do it for a 5% charge. After about a 45 minute argument with the staff and after showing them our confirmation saying that we would not be charged until getting to the hotel, they refused to waive the 5% fee even though we were right. The hotel was incredibly overpriced because it was not clean. |

Clean room. Not good value for money, more a place for dope smoking back packers. And not as near the station as was said on the website. |

It was walking distance from most of the sights in Amsterdam. The staff was rude, the room was dirty and falling apart, the constant coming and going of other guests was disturbing, there was no phone in the room, the tv and most of the lights didn't work. I could keep going, but I am too tired. |

It rained, the water came through the roof and leaked on to my friends bed. When we complained, we were told to call the police if we did not like it. |

Location is great. The staff is very helpful. Free breakfast is great. Free wifi is fantastic! It is an old building and it shows. Also, I don't like being charged 5% additional for using a credit card. |

We liked that the staff were friendly and gave us a nice welcoming. They also answered questions and gave directions to places we wanted to go. The room was tiny. We wouldn't have minded but we payed alot of money (nearly £200) and we don't think we got very good value for money. The place was shabby and for that kind of price i would expect a little bit more luxury. The breakfast also didn't have much choice and we would have prefered more breakfast items. |

The bed was very comfortable and there was adequate hot water in the shower. Lacking in facilities, there was no bathmat for the shower, the floor of the room looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed and the breakfast wasn't appealing. There wasn't a lot of ventilation and the room was very warm during the night/morning even though the weather wasn't overly hot. |

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The bed was comfortable. There was a good grip rail over the bath to hold onto when getting in and out. There was only one towel per person so none for your hair and no bathmat to stand on. The washbasin had no plug and one still wasn't supplied when requested. |

Absolutely nothing! Asked to pay 5% extra to use credit card! Room was filthy, spiders and flies in the room, smelly carpet and beddings. Not cleaned from time previous guest stayed. Room never got cleaned in 4 nights I stayed other than new towels which were smelly. No AC and can not open window as flies get in the room. I had a single room but most were large rooms for bagbackers so it mostly catered for them. No safe in the room and door very flimsy. Keep everthing locked away in your bag. Hated it! |

Kind of place that works if you just need a bed to sleep for a night or two. Decent breakfast also Steep narrow steps that make carrying heavy luggage tough. Carpets need to be replaced. Awkard bathroom with WC hard to use. Shower carefully so water does not flow into your room |

Location: not far from central station and city center. Staff: helpfull and friendly. Room: nice wiev on the river. We were not able to move in to the room before 14.00, and we arrived at 10, thought they let us leave our bags on the reception so we can have a walk and eat without our bags. Rooms are not the same as they are on the pictures, soooo small (only bad) and not very clean. We had a hole in the linen. But it depends what you expect from this price: we payed 60Euros for 2 with breakfast and stayed there only 7 hours))) so for us it was perfect! |

The staff were pleasant and helpful The rooms were substandard - accessing our room was nearly impossible - we had to climb many steep stairs and walk through a maze to get to our room. Very scary and dangerous. We were a family of 8 - had we known it was a cheap backpackers we would never have stayed but your site made it sound quite attractive. The towels supplied were no bigger than hand towel. However the manager did upgrade one of our rooms which was a little more comfortable for a family of 5. |

Location It's not safe at all, I forgot my keys in the room and I could get them back just asking in the reception to go inside of the room, I could take anything from the room. |

The Location is superb, access to Kings Cross Station just accross the street. Slight smell always there, really small rooms and the bathroom even smaller especially the shower area a fat person may not fint into the shower area. |

The price, that includes breakfast, was very good & location very practical in the Central Station area. Front rooms (the ones facing the main avenue) are very noisy because the traffic. Room curtains were not enough in order to keep the room dark in the early morning. Charge of 4-5% in case of paying with credit card is abusive but seems to be habitual in Amsterdam. |

I liked the location-close to Centraal Station. I thought it was overpriced and thought I was getting a nicer hotel. |
