'Zeezicht' (sea view) is an appropriate name for this hotel. The guest rooms overlook the harbours, with the ferries to Vlieland and Terschelling, as well as numerous fishing boats, coasters, sailing boats and more. This location gives the hotel a very special atmosphere. It has spacious, well appointed rooms and a good restaurant, where excellent meals are served. There is a good spot for windsurfing only a few minutes from the hotel.

Hotel information

In one of his books, the famous Harlingen born author Simon Vestdijk called the hotel 'The Sea Castle'. It has spacious, well appointed rooms and a good restaurant, where excellent meals are served. From the large terrace, one has a fine view of the ships that come and go. There is also a cosy bar and lounge, where guests can relax or have a game of billiards. 'Zeezicht' has succeeded in combining its historic character with modern amenities like television and video equipment. The modern library offers a wide range of books.

In the past, the hotel was a meeting point and a club for admiralty officers, ship owners, whalers and merchants. Nowadays, it still offers good facilities for business conferences, jubilees and receptions. Of course, there is also ample room to sit and have a chat. All rooms have a grandstand view of the harbours and the sea. Comfortable lounge with TV and billiard table, large terrace at the harbour and a good spot for windsurfing only minutes from the hotel.

We got a very nice corner room with 4 big windows, one of them had a balcony with views to the harbor. The room was large, luxurious, clean and completely renovated. The included breakfast was also very complete. No real negative things to mention. The toilet paper hung a bit far from the toilet, but that's what happens in big toilets.	8.5

Room was re-newed with nice decoration, balcony and a very good shower!!!! The room was in front of the sea to the side where the sun sets. This makes it a bit hot!...breakfast was disappointing!..we expected a very good one because the dinner was great...they have a very good restaurant...but missed focus on breakfast...	7.5
