Near the city center. Ideal for travelers. Expensive for one person. Not so good for just one person. |

We first reserved a double room in the Hostel We were upgraded to the Hotel (the hostel were fully booked) It sounded good but the room allocated was a single one with one bed: large enough for a person but to small for two people not supposed to sleep together… We had preferred to stay at the hostel! |

From the hostel we were upgraded to the anker hotel, just around the corner, for the same price. It was comfortable, a typical Bestwestern Hotel. Breakfast was good, even though the only sweet food we had were cereals. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the city center. |

We were four people in a 6 bed room, but were given only one key. Very inconvenient, cos tapping the door didn't work since key was needed to go to corridor. |

We stayed at the Best Western Anker, being upgraded because we requested breakfast. It was very pleasant and a fabulous breakfast selection. The only thing was that you had to pay extra to use the T.V., though we were out all the time and really didn't need it anyway. |

The staff were nice, the first night we were in the Hotel part of Anker, it was very nice and very cheap, it was a bit of a dissapointment to go to the Hostel side, because it was more expensive, we didnt know we were being moved and the room was very poor quality. The fact we had to move rooms and the second room was more expensive, discusting and had to purchase an extra bed so that we didnt have a random person staying with us, |

We were upgraded from the hostel next door which proved excellent value for money. The location is great. The rooms were modern and clean due to the current renovations. Breakfast was also good. The renovatins that are going on at the moment but it can't be helped. |

We had a twin room which had a small kitchenette. It was clean and quiet (apart from some noise from the tram but that was low). We had no problems with checking in. The basket with kitchen utensil was a bit random (only one spoon and two bottles of washing up liquid but no other washing up liquid). Also, there was no internet while we were there and not much in terms of common rooms or facilities (e.g. I asked if they had a bookshelf where people swapped books, commonly done at hostels, but the person at the desk did not even seem to know what I meant). Still the facilities were quite acceptable. |

Actualy we didn't put up in Anker HoStel - because of overbooking we got a room right next door at Anker Hotel (for the same price). Both places are located in the heart of the city, it's easy to get anywhere in the downtown even on foot. As the HoStel was next door too we had a look into it from outside, it was pretty much crowded, we saw mostly young folks, backpackers/students, but the lobby looked modern & clean - good impressions. When we were there they were in the middle of renovation. (Anker Hotel) It's quite time for that 'cause the building looks old/old-fashioned & used inside (also our room did). The bathroom wasn't nice, we didn't liked it. Not that is wasn't clean or something, but you could see that plenty of people used it before and it's not a good point in a hotel IMO. A little kitchen found it's place in our room too, which would be a good thing, but it was also "too used". |

As we left the hotel very early in the morning, a breakfast package was given. We were "upgraded" to the Anker hotel because the Hostel was full but the hotel needs some freshing up : it smells strange in the hall way and the walls definitly need some fresh paint. Parking the car in the parking of the hotel costs 175 nok. The 3rd bed which was placed in a 2 persons room was very hard. After all, it could not be considered as an "upgrade". Normally the hotel costs more then the Hostel but in its current state, it's not worth the extra money. |

We were upgraded to Best Western Anker Hotel. Hotel is quite nordic type. Very expensive and comfortable. It was one of the cheapest hotels in Hotel at the time we travelled. |
