The hotel was a good homely type of place with all that could be needed. The evening meal was well prepared and presented if in the Norwegian manner - they tell you what is on the menu tonight - but well worth having. Høyanger is a wonderful community with excellent shops for its size. There looked to be plenty to do if staying there for more than one night. We toured the village and went up the valley where we found the troll even though we had planned to travel passed Bergen that day.

The personnel at Øren Hotel was amazing. We have never experienced similar service :-) And this was even outside the season.

Særdeles hjelpsom og vennlig betjening. God plass på rommet. Sengen på rommet var 75 cm bred - det må være minst 15 år siden jeg sist så en så smal seng på et hotellrom. Grunnet manglende bredde var den heller ikke særlig komfortabel og det ble svært lite og dårlig søvn under oppholdet. Rommet hadde i utgangspunktet ingen muligheter for å lage te eller kaffe, noe jeg heller ikke har opplevd på mange, mange år. Bagasjehyllen falt rett ut av veggen da jeg forsøkte å slå den ut, noe den helt tydelig også hadde gjort flere ganger tidligere. Kleskapet var så smalt at jakker på hengere måtte vris sideveis for å få plass.

Ottimo il buffet per la colazione. Stanza ampia e confortevole. Personale molto gentile La connessione internet, gratuita, cadeva in continuazione e funzionava bene solo vicino alla reception. La televisione un po' scarsa: solo 3 canali con effetto nebbia.

Beliggenheten Ikke lystette gardiner på rommet. Masse bråk og støy fra vei gjennom hele natten. Elendig frokost med sur skinke , null frokostegg, kald kaffe og surt personale.
