In a good safe location just off the main city street (Franz Joseph). Twenty minutes walk from rail/bus station. Room was quiet and comfortable. Security was good given city location ie key pass to use lift, Room had a safe. Breakfast in downstairs "Deli" of a good standard. Would use this hotel again. No real lounge area other than at reception. No food available after 7pm at the weekend as the "Deli" closes early.

Great location in a beautiful city. Buffet breakfast was more than adequate to keep you going until evening. Wired internet in room was fast and reliable. Room was tiny-you would need a cat of the Manx variety to be able to swing it.Beds too were tiny-two 2 foot six inch beds pushed together. Beware the step into the bathroom. Complimentary soup was not available on the Monday- they ran out of it in the restaurant. Come on lads-how much does it take to make up another pot of soup?

It is really well located, and it was clean. Due to the location, it was a little bit noisy. But everything else was fine.

The balance rate/service is very positive. This Hotel is well situated for visiting Oslo. Very good breakfast. Clean rooms. Nice personal. Negative points are: no private car park as you have to park your car in a nearby public parking which is very expensive. Nevertheless the hotel takes in charge 25%. Rate is 360NOK/day. Also the rooms sitauted to the street's side are somewhat noisy due to the traffic lights mainly with a bipbip for blind people. Also the weekends the streets are very noisy. No place for discharging the car when you arrive.

The staff was very helpful. The restaurant in the hotel serves authentic Norwegian food. The location is excellent: in the heart of downtown Oslo. The bus to the airport stops just outside the door. The view wasn't great (a walled courtyard).

We stay here 3 times in one week in total 4 days, every time in different quality room but in fair conditions. Strongly recommend this hotel for ideal connection with airport by sas bus express : bus station is in front of your door ! The price is 100 nok / pers . First time we take a taxi and taxi driver put to pay super price 2186 nok ( classic steal !) . Hotel is near of all attraction of this beautiful city , maximum 10-15 minutes walk. Shopping street is next street. Only for Ski Museum is necessary to take metro but entrance is at 2 minutes walk. Not very big rooms with one except : super double room . It is only one really problem : busy space for breakfast . And at 9.29 fix they take plates with food ! If you don't eat it's your problem !

Staff were very helpful with city tourist attractions and very knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was fantastic: great variety, good food, and many local specialties. The breakfast was so good, we ate less throughout the day. The Cafe adjoining the hotel served local, economical food and we used this a great deal. I did not like that the Wifi was available only in the lobby, and not in the rooms. This should be put on the website, because that makes a big difference when traveling in Europe.

Very good hotel. Clean, big room, comfortable, good breakfast! A little expensive. But, of course, it is not a problem only from this hotel but from the entire city of Oslo!

We traveled as a small group and stayed at Best Western Hotel Bondeheimen from 5th January 2012 for two nights. I booked two single rooms and two double/twin rooms for the group. The rooms we stayed in were all quite spacious (some had more space than the others) for the city centre. The rooms were clean. It was very useful to have Free-wired internet connection. The reception desk and restaurant staffs are all very helpful and efficient. With the discount rate, it was very good value for money as well. Whenever I sent an enquiry to the hotel, their reply was very prompt.

Solid budget hotel with good quality internet and a great breakfast considering its a best western. The doors take a minute or two to lock so you might want to wait for them to lock when you go out.

Centrally located near Karl Johan, Bristol grill and art museum. Good breakfast. For security reasons I suppose, the stairs are locked above the third floor for those walking up. The beds were not that good.

“The hotel is very nicely in the middle of town, i.e. walking distance to most offices where you may have meetings. A grand staircase speaks about an interesting past, and all hallways are very nicely decorated with paintings, old furniture, mirrors etc. The room was comfortable and the wifi good. There is a business center that you can use if relevant once you have checked out.” Tove, Søborg |
