Hotel information

As you enter the lobby you can tell that Bondeheimen is unlike any other big city hotel. To the left is the entrance to one of Norway's largest collections of national costumes, Heimen Husflid, with nearly 4000 items for sale at 10% discount for hotel guests. To the right is Kaffistova - widely known as one of the few restaurants serving genuine traditional Norwegian food. All breads and cakes are home-made, and our guests claim we have the best breakfast in town. Homemade soup with fresh bread and butter is served free of charge in the lobby every evening on weekdays. The hotel rooms have furniture which are designed and produced in Norway. Each room is decorated with a unique portrait, biography and quote from a writer or artist with a close relationship to Bondeheimen.

Our guests get 15% discount for parking nearby.

Important information

Please be aware that the hotel will be perform refurbishments in hotel corridors and meeting rooms from July 1st. The refurbishment work will be executed during daytime and should not cause any inconvenience for our guests.

All of the staff, especially front office (reseption) were perfect.The hotel was clean and has a rich breakfast. At the same time, location of the hotel was excellent.

If it is possible, I want olive in breakfast, next time :))

got a 1 person bed which was very small and was uncomfortable and had to pay for internet access.

Location

The website or a pamphlet boasted "some say we have the best breakfast in town". I strongly disagree.

Friendly and helpful

We had a (false)fire alarm one night at 2.30am and one of the side exits (6th floor) was locked. We mentioned it later at the front desk, but it stayed closed. In case of a real emergency you want all exits open!

The "Norwegian" cuisine restaurant attached to the hotel is a good idea, so that guests can get their first taste of Norway.

Two single beds pushed together to make a double bed isn't very nice.

The location is convenient, and the restaurant in the building served wonderful traditional Norwegian food. The breakfast buffet, included in the price of the room, was superb.

Buffet dinner was poor value (and couldn't buy an alcoholic beer!), suggest eating somewhere else.

Good location for central Oslo and 5minute was from main train station. Decent breakfast and quiet surroundings.

Apart from a noisy flush, everything was fine.
