It was quite close to the city center.

The personnel was OK, but not that nice and hospitable as I would expect in a hotel. If you want to take some bread from the breakfest buffet you have to pay 10 NOK for each bread slice.

Nice pepole work there. Ok breakfast.. Here they could be better

The room was a bit small.

Great location with easy access to the ferry, bus to the airport, Bryggen and other tourist locations such as the funicular; walking distance to shops and restaurants. Some of the reception staff very helpful.

The picture given with the description of the room booked was actually for a more superior room. The hotel staff were not as professional as I would expect when trying to resolve this situation. The servicing of our room fluctuated between good and less than impressive. The fridge in our first room didn't work and then when we were in a new room we had to let the staff know twice that it went off, so not very reliable fridges. Also in the second room (the deluxe corner room) the fridge was placed akwardly impeding easy access to one of the beds. Not airconditioned and as the weather was warm and the windows didn't open very far, the room could be quite stuffy and hot. Some rooms with view of the street but one whole side with a view of anther building only metres away.

Central location, close to waterfront, friendly and helpful staff - quite good place to stay indeed.

The Best Western Hotel Hordaheimen is well-located, one street behind the waterfront and close to the high speed ferry terminal. My room was clean and the front desk staff were efficient.

I thought that the general standard of decor in both the lobby area and breakfast room wss shocking. This is one of the most unattractive and dated hotel lobbies I have stayed in. The room had no external facing windows and felt like a shoe-box. The single bed was so narrow that I fell out of bed twice in one night. The breakfast was very processed and compared poorly with other breakfasts I had in Norway. As a general guideline however, there are insufficient rooms for the amount of summer visitors to Bergen so all the hotels seem to represent poor value for money given that they have guaranteed custom.

Great Location, helpful staff

We stayed twice: both before and after our Hurtigruten adventure. The first time we had a room with no access to fresh air (althought a second fan was provided upon request. We asked that for our return visit we could have a room where the windows opened. This was graciously provided. The folks at the front desk wre uniformly accommodating.. (Full disclosure: the hotel seemed crowded on the first visit and relatively vacant on the second stay. (Luck of the draw?)
