Best Western Kampen Apartment Hotell

Huoneet uudet, siistit ja puhtaat.

Hotelli ei millään muotoa palvelunsa osalta ollut 4 tähden hotelli. Sisäänkirjautuessa kävi ilmi, ettei etukäteen tehtyä toivomusta sisäpihalle / rauhalliselle puolelle oltu mitenkään huomioitu. Huone oli melko meluisan, suht ison tien varrella. Hiukan vastahakoisesti uutta huonetta etsittiin, johon meni kohtuuttoman pitkä aika. Hotellin vastaanottotiski / takatiloineen oli suttuisa. Aamiaistarjoilu ei oikein toiminut - ruoka, kupit ja kahvi loppuivat välistä kesken. Kuvaus siitä, että hotelli sijaitsee "mielenkiintoisella, etnisen väestön asuttamassa kaupungin osassa" osoittautui hiukan toiseksi...

Hotelli sijaisti vähän matkan päässä keskustasta, mutta aivan metroaseman läheisyydessä. Mukava siisti hotelli. Sopii hyvin lapsiperheelle.

Huoneissa oli illalla aika kuuma, mutta ikkunaa ei voinut pitää auki liikenteen melun takia.

The staff tried to be helpful when asked about the services. In some instances they did not know how to assist. See below.

The wireless access to the Internet was not functioning properly yet the staff on duty said that it was. It was only the next day that the problem came to light. The checkout was confusing and I am not sure if I was charged correctly. Apparently my breakfast was prepaid for 6 days by my company (prepaid) yet I was asked to pay for three days when I checked out. This is not fully resolved yet. I will have to see what my company receipts actually say to know for sure.

I like the location. I could park the car in surrounding areas. Save 26EUR for night. :) Very nice feature is double doors to the room with very good sound proof feature. Microwave in the room was OK but why there is cocking IR plate if there is no pan?

Wifi was working for 5 min. than you have to disconnect and again connect. It will work for 5 min again. But when it is working than fast. :) The design is cold (specially blue LED lights in the corridor) and also floor in the room is cold. The fridge in the room did not freezed for a two days. Finally they changed it. :)

New hotel, very good location, comfortable rooms quiet and good breakfast included. They gave us better rooms than booked . Apartment with kitchen, laundry etc nice

very nice and calm, not noisy, good breakfast, small kitchen available in some rooms, a kettle to make some tea or coffee...

the area is not so nice, and you have to take the train to join the city center

Four star hotel, at decent price, very close to citycenter (just second tram stop from Oslo Central)

Nice rooms in a good location. There are not many hotels in Oslos eastside. It is a nice area to stay in, and this hotels is a good choice.

The reseption was quite busy, and we had some small problems with our keycard.

The interior really shockeed me - it was great! Staff - very helpful!

On the whole it was pretty good all round fo the price.

Although the furniture was coforale/well designed, rather too much of it hd been crammed into the room. Also, although there was a sink and hob, iron and ironing board, kettle, etc. there was no desk (or even dressing table that could serve as on) and this was a little inconvenient.

The apartment was a decent size and well equipped. Fairly new and finished to a good standard. Good underground links to central Oslo from the station about 5 minutes walk away. With the caveats below, I would stay there again.

It was not made clear that the kitchen in the apartment could only be used if a supplement was paid; this was misleading. The area between the tube station and the hotel is not pleasant at nights, lots of drunks and other undesirables hanging around; I was not threatened myself but I saw a fight between some youths. I would certainly not recommend the place to sole women travellers who expect to be back late.

Yes. it felt a bit unsafe and scary to walk in the area at night.
