Nestled in the Flåm valley just 3 km from Flåm train station and the stunning Aurlandsfjord, these cottages enjoy valley views from their porch terraces.

The cosy cabin which is surrounded by the mountains. There's also a small and well-equipped kitchen.
The door rattled whenever you there's strong wind, it's annoying.
we arrived around 7pm. There was a note with our name and the building number. It dark. Cold. No sheets. Nothing at all. We decided to go somewhere else.
We arrived after dark, but there were instructions for us, and our "cottage" was open. The place was very spacious, newly remodeled, and quiet.
Perhaps some additional electrical outlets, but there were enough to re-charge and power our devices. The wifi signal was fairly weak also.
Absolutely stunning location in the Flam Valley. Needs to be seen to be believed. Bathrooms and bedrooms all in good condition.
No staff were on site at all when I came to check in. They also never showed up at any point during my stay to make sure I had settled in. Location is a fair walk from the centre of town, and becomes very muddy in wet weather. Not recommended for those with excess luggage and don't have access to a car. The set of white houses pictured in this page are not part of the hostel, but are also called Brekke Gard. This was very confusing for this traveller, and took a long time to work out where the hostel itself was. The cows across the field from the hostel entrance are kept in a very small pen. I think they need a little more space to roam, given the surrounding paddock is so vast.
everything is new. location ; if you come to Flåm by bus.
road ; way to this hostle.
The view was great, but Flam is always good. Toilet was good and clean.
I didn't meet any staff. And there were too many flies in my room. So, I thought the room was not clean at first.
Lots of room, multiple bathrooms, friendly guests. It's close to some of the hiking trails including one of Flam's beautiful waterfalls. Our room had a nice view of the waterfall.
It's quite a walk from the train station or boat terminal if you're carrying much in the way of baggage. Also not lit well if you need to walk to or from town in the night.
the design of the hostel, the comfortableness, the large kitchen
the place is a bit far away amd it us a big problem when we need to walk in freezy cold rain for the 20mins walk
Beautiful location in flam
Great building, house was old style Norweigan and really beautiful.
Staff were shocking. I arrived within the reception opening hours and there was no one there - they left a note with directions to a 'red building' and said the key was in the door. The directions led me to a barn. No apology for this given, the receptionist (when I finally saw her two days later) told me she shouldn't hang around late for one person arriving, even when well before closing time.
nice view. 20min from flam station by walk
Loved it! Bed sheets were astonishing, and so comfy. Location was unbelievable (go to the waterfall behind the house). The house was adorable! Very happy with Flam.
The floor in my room
Characterful old house
Location well out of town, lack of bedding in room, having to wait for someone to come by car to check in
Good location(close to waterfall and walk up on foot there, pretty good view), not far from even Flam station. Cozy place with well-equipped cooking stuffs.
There was a problem a bit regarding to water drain when I take a shower.
location is ok kitchen is so big
a bit noisy...
Lovely old 3 storey wooden farmhouse away from the main centre but within walking distance. Run as a hostel with cooking facilities in a shared kitchen. Great views towards the fjord and the mountain behind. We had a large room with a very comfortable double bed. Wished we'd stayed longer then 2 nights.
Hadn't noticed the 8 pm cut-off for check-in and the booking receipt and no-one at the reception when we arrived at 8.15 pm. Luckily another couple with a phone also arrived so we were able to contact the host to come back and book us in.
Location and the relaxed atmosphere! Easy to walk to town, hike and good parking. Easy to find as you can see when you drive in to town from Oslo way. Easy to meet others and fun !
Could use a few more dishes/pots and silverware.
Clean rooms, comfy beds, good location
Internet connection was very poor and not accessible from all points in the building
Has a homey, warm feel and although away from the centre of Flam the location is good. The 15 minutes walk to the cabins actually gave an additional activity to the otherwise, quite small and limited on activities (at least in late September) Flam. Cabin is cosy in character and the guests we had shared the cabin with were lovely.
Wooden floors cause the entire cabin to rattle and creek with the slightest movements. If you're a light sleeper, you may have trouble at night if others are moving! Would really prefer it if the 50NOK for bed linen and towels was simply bundled into the price of the room. The cost for this is not transparent and you question how many people actually travel up to the fjords with their own set of bed linen...
The farmhouse was converted well, rooms vary in size, common room is roomy, wifi is strong (in the common room), 2 stoves in the kitchen, beautiful surroundings (even w/cows & sheep right next door), quiet.
A 15-20 minute hike from the Flamsbana/dock, but I am not, admittedly not 24yrs old any more...
the house is very cozy and nice, attractive Norsk house, well-equipped kitchen.
they must find a better way for checking in. the reception was locked and we have to call the staff for checking in, before she come, we can only stay out side the cabin. Hey! not every traveler's phone can be used in Norway, and it is in Flåm, it is not that easy to find a people to borrow a phone.
Public space is big and nice. Kitchen is available. Wifi is good
The facilities are old. Shared bathroom on the ground floor is small and the no radiated is there. Our room is small. Noise from our next room and outside can be heard.
I appreciated te peaceful place, the large and cosy common living room and bathroom, the clean and tidy room and the amazing places all around ... a must see !
A bit expensive for the service, but well, it's Norway !
