Britannia Hotel    

I stayed at the Brittania on the night of 3/ 5 May. I was travelling with my sister, Kaye Nolan who has written to you separately about the outstanding help we received from two of your receptionists in locating her luggage. They went well above the normal duty to guests and if it were not for their efforts, who knows if the luggage would ever have arrived. My sister, Kaye Nolan has written separately to Kitti Bjorkli commending the reception staff at the Brittania Hotel Trondheim and I would like to add my own praise to their outstanding service. Room quiet and comfortable. Spa staff very friendly and helpful. Central location.

When breakfast finished at 10.00, staff rushed in to take away everything very quickly which made it quite stressful for people arriving just before 10.00.

Located in the old city center, Britannia is one of the oldest hotels distinguished by original facade, the most beautiful in Trondhaim. The elegantly furnished rooms are equipped with comfortable furniture. Every room in the expected set of towels, terry bathrobes and slippers for use of inviting spa area in the basement. Using the SPA unforgettable impression, just the object is beautiful, provides a wonderful relaxing and stayed in it longer every day from 7 in the morning and again in the evening. We plan to again stay at this hotel to once again be able to enjoy this attraction. A rich buffet breakfast is served every morning in a decorative room Palmehaven. Jonathans Restaurant serves a fine Norwegian specialties and in the evening it is difficult to find a place in it. About 200 meters is located Trondheim main attraction - the famous Nidaros Cathedral with museum objects - the traditional place of coronation of the Norwegian kings. Just 50 meters away is a royal residence which presents a much more modest than the hotel

Britannia Hotel, is a very nice hotel in the center of Trondheim and is the best hotel out of the three others which I've tried in the town. The thing that I like most is the magnificent breakfast buffet which offers great food and a wonderful atmosphere.

The hotel has a dinner on the side where you can buy food for lunch and a cold beer; and my advice to the travelers is not to dine there because the food quality is poor; whoever is making the food hasn't got a clue about healthy eating. It is also expensive and doesn't compare to the many nice dinners in the town. My recommendation to Britannia hotel would be to hire a chief who understands food and culture and doesn't offer you the cheapest raw material for the highest price.

The breakfast and it's facilities.

I got a very small room in the old part of the hotell. The water in the toalett ran continously. I asked the reseption to fix it at 6.30 in the afternoon. When I came back later, it still ran. And it did all night. In addistion, the room were very hot - to cool it, I needed to have the window open. Outside the hotel's fan were placed.

The spa was amazing!!!

The room was a bit standard but more than adequate for the price in Norway.

Your spa and location are your selling points.

Your are understaffed for such a big hotel and your breakfast is seriously bad. Some days over Christmas the lack of choice beggared belief.

Good quality breakfast with nice selection and variety, well served and good seating. May be the best breakfast in Trondhjem. Charming hotel with historical atmosphere (a somewhat tired elegance), with an excellent location.

We booked parking in the hotel garage for two nights. When we arrived to park the second evening, we were let into the garage, but found no free parking spaces, despite our guaranteed booking. The staff in the reception had no understanding of why there was no available parking, and could not help us in making parking available. Fortunately, this was Saturday night, so parking on the street was free through the following Sunday. Had this been the middle of the week, we would have had to pay for this parking. There did not appear to be a routine for registering car license numbers to monitor parking. We felt that this reflected badly on the hotel and hotel routines, and was a needless inconvenience for us (second night parking was deducted from the bill).

The hotel offers an excellent combination of spacious rooms with a wonderful spa. The staff is great.

Althought the breakfast buffet was very elaborate, it wasn't really high standard food.

Old fashion. Near to everything.

Convenient location and great staff able to guide us to places we were seeking. Fine older hotel with good restaurant and some art worth a photo.

It is old and looking like it needs a rehab. The edges of everything are worn while stains are present on rugs and furniture.

Very good internet wi-fi. Very confortable room. Very good Spa and swimming poool.

The gym could have more machines to work out.

Location and helpful and professional staff.

The 1960s remodeling (which I saw in 1969 as well) continues to detract from what was once a really elegant hotel. It is definitely looking "tired" today and is need of a restoration to reflect its original period design. At those prices I wouldn't stay there again-not a special experieince.

Un hôtel de grand standing en centre ville mais au calme , à proximité de toutes les attractions (- de 500 m) - Facilité de liaison avec l'aéroport (arrêt devant l'hôtel) - Chambre donnant sur court intérieure donc calme . Spa comportant de nombreux équipements ,gratuits pour les séjournants L'immense buffet dans une jolie salle intérieure avec fontaine (plus de 20 m de long pour le buffet richement achalandé

L'heure de pointe au spa limitant son utilisation . Croissants de la veille au buffet mais vu l'immensité du choix proposé , sans gravité .

Likte veldig godt maten på resturangen,og at personalet var hyggelig.

Det jeg ikke likte med hotellet,var at det ikke var tilfredstillende renholdt,rommet var støvette,fikk byttet rom,men ikke det var støvfritt.Og da vi kom hjem fikk jeg se at dere hadde belastet meg for mer penger enn det jeg i utgangspunkte skulle betale,selv om jeg ikke hadde tatt noe fra mini baren,så om det var fordi vi fikk nytt rom,må jeg si at servicen ikke var bra nok.Må si at jeg ved neste tur til trondhjem,ønsker jeg ikke å velger britannia hotell.

Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening,fint rom,nydelig frokost,staselig hotell:-) - en følelse av luksus med frokost i Palmehaven.
