Score from 600 reviews Very good
Bedroom and shower room were comfortable and clean.
Limited cooking facility : one large and one small electric rings, no oven or grill
The receptionist was hot...uhh and extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a small kitchen included which is extremely handy as everything in Norway is expensive. The tunnel carpark is a short walk away for those who hire a car
The cupboard under the sink smelled, probably because the bin was there and hardly sees the light of day
Liked: - very helpful and friendly reception staff - good location - clean and with good facilities - good wifi connectivity - spacious apartment
Nothing I didn't like. Great accommodation option for a couple of day's stay in Tromso.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very central location.
The kitchen equipment is very basic, enough for simple cooking but no more. Parking is expensive, being in the city centre.
City Living is close to the main street and the pick up point of our aurora chasing tour. We have a junior suite which was spacious and have good kitchen facilities， including a dish washer. Wifi speed is fast. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Even though we sometimes heard street noise during the day，we all considered that it has not affected our sleep. Hotel staff have been very helpful and friendly.
Happy, friendly staff. Good central location. Super clean with plenty of hot water!
No reception staff before 10 on a weekend; made it tricky to book a cab.
Big room and high quality beds. Friendly and competent personnel.
Car parking could be an issue.
Great location, complete set of kitchen utensils with a big kitchen (Rm. 203), spacious room, friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast . Not so much variety ,was just twice in Egon
The rooms and receptionist.
Location near city center. Many features very well organised, no fancy lobby needed. Well trained staff to assist guests (i.e. flight bookings, fax, baggage storage f.o.c., e.t.c)..
No breakfast included, you must be prepared with some coffee / tea; and you can buy some morning snacks from nearby kiosks.
Great hotel location. Good kitchenette. Comfortable beds.
Lovely room with all the mod cons. Very spacious so great for 2 friends. Staff we're very helpful. Great restaurant opposite and an easy walk to shops and tourist attractions.
Curtains we're not blackout ones which made sleeping in July harder work than it should be!
All staff we encountered were helpful, fluent in English, and knowledgeable about attractions around the city. They accommodated our requests with a smile and went out of their way to help us and make us feel welcome.
This couldn't be helped by City Living Hotel, but we couldn't sleep most nights because of the midnight sun and the sound of young people closing down the bars. Otherwise it was convenient for everything we wanted to do. The bus stop was 3 blocks away.
Everything was good. Breakfast was not included but shops were close by. All facilities including kitchen were well maintained. Would recommend to anyone visiting tromso
location near city
parking not good
Excellent location, and very helpfull staff.
Rooms in the front can be noisy.
I loved the central location and the facilities in the room, The staff were pleasant and helpful ' I will definitely choose to stay in City Living Hotel again if I ever return to Tromso.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.
Good location, equipped kitchen with everything you need to survive, even a small dish washer! A big plus was free use of washing machine and dryer (ps. bring your own detergent)
The view and the crumbles in the cupboard
I like the place , the cleanliness of the room. The hospitality of the receptionist. An ideal location
Being in the Arctic region, information about midnight sun should be more elaborate. What we expect is this.
Location and kichen
Helpful staff, great room and amenities, service, and location. Supermarket one block away.
But ridiculously slow WiFi. Complete all critical time-sensitive online tasks before arriving. I was also Unable to darken room in July which affected my sleep cycle. I was told better blackout blinds/drapes are coming. Otherwise, except for the WiFi and daylight in the room all 'night' long, I really like this hotel.
Central location and excellent staff and clean room.
We had a junior suite but the bed area was so small with walls on three sides up against the bed that whoever slept on the inner side had to crawl across the other to get out. Not the best for the most expensive room. Also the road outside appears to be the express way for motorcycles at night without any silencers! And why o why do the Norwegians not provide microwave ovens in apartments?
cooking facilities, good location, confortable and highly affordable
rooms were not serviced but you could collect extra tea and coffee from the 2nd floor
The location. Small but comfy apartment.
No carpet in bathroom.
