I liked the fact they could fit us in despite the fact Booking.com failed to make the reservation. (See my email) The hotel had a good quiet location in the city rooms and reception rooms pleasant.

Staff was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel is pleasant. It has a sauna, but definitely cannot be called a wellness hotel.

We always stay in this hotel when in Oslo. It is cosy and relaxed. The evening meal and breakfast are pretty ok. Also the free coffee and tea , waffles in the afternoon give us the homy feeling. Next stay in Oslo will be yhere again.

Amazing historical building, breakfast and (simple) dinner included free of charge. Everyday fresh waffles, excellent distance from the city centre. Cosy and comfortable rooms very clean. Overall very surprising hotel, as I usually stay with larger chains such as the Hilton, crown plaza, and are used to 5* Asian hotels.

The hotel is in a lovely building on a quiet street, but close to tram stop. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on where to go for a drink in town and nearby. Our room was in the old servants quarters and was a very nice character room with double windows looking out across gardens. It was very comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit outdated but the plus points were natural light and a bath, and it was very large compared to usual hotel bathrooms. The evening buffet was excellent and in hugely expensive Oslo this was a real bonus. There was a good selection of foods and the breakfast was also good. The free cinnamon buns and tea/coffee from the lobby was great as you could grab hot chocolate and a bun when you came in from a hard days sightseeing! Perhaps the bathroom could have had a few more luxurious touches but that's about all

I and my my partner enjoyed are stay at the hotel, the staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. The hotel was located close enougth to town that you could walk into town in 15 - 20 minutes or jump on a tram in 5. But far enough away from the noise of the city that you could enjoy the city when you wanted and escape it when needed.

Good location, quiet residential area close to Oslo city centre. Free parking at the hotel. For close-to-city-centre hotel moderate price. Evening buffet very poor quality (just set at 6PM and no replenishment), no alternative restaurant in the hotel. Limited bar service through the reception. Trendy design with visually open bathroom.

Possibility to eat breakfast outside, but it should have been higher tables more suitable for eating. Spacious rooms. There was nothing sweet for breakfast. It should absolutely have been like chocolate croissants or something!

Nicer than most corporate hotels in Oslo. Great breakfast and evening buffet is a great money safer if not a gourmets delight. Wifi needs a new code every day, no big problem just a little annoying. On the plus side the wireless worked all week.

The location is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood within three minutes' walk to the tram and another 5 minutes ride to the center of town. The hotel is small and quite intimate and the building is beautiful. Breakfast is quite good and the free evening buffet is a big advantage. The staff's attitude is distant and they do not go out of their way to be helpful. For example, when we arrived late at night with a lot of luggage and struggled to get it into the hotel and then up to our room, the clerk at the reception did not budge to help us, although the lobby was empty. There is no gym.

Hotel has great curb appeal; a very old building covered in vines....inside, however, is every modern amenity. We stayed in the new wing, and we understand from local friends that these rooms are larger, but less charming. Ideally located in a residential area near the embassies. For the breakfast offerings, I would have enjoyed some baked goods( in addition to the very nice multigrain bread), perhaps croissants, sweet rolls, etc.

The inclusion of afternoon refreshments and evening meal in the room price, which nicely offset the slightly inconvenient location.

Excellent breakfasts and inclusion of a modest but very satisfactory dinner Non-functionality of "wine-bar" in dining area, which was designed to allow (paid) self-service, but in actuality required staff assistance..
