Excellent hotel, would definitely stay there again. Close to the train station, lovely atrium with rooms radiating from it. Room was superb as was the room I arranged for my brother and his young family. Breakfast was the best we experienced during our fortnight stay in Norway. Excellent gym and pool area. Highly recommended.

The gym

Room was very small and all night there was a sound from the ceiling which meant I did not sleep at all.

The rooms where nice, we requested a quiet room and they delivered. Excellent breakfast. Location was great - across from the central train station.

Location next to the station and city centre. Kettle in room! Room comfortable to work in!

Noise in room from street and loud music till 3am. Hotel really crowded with children. Impossilble to have breakfast in breakfast area. Restaurant (TGI) so busy 1hr wait for table - In house restaurant £90 per person!!! Room not cleaned on sunday. May have just been an unfortunate and extra busy weekend with lots of children - so will probably give another chance!!!

The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The large shower was greatly appreciated. The range of food at the breakfast buffet was very extensive. Staff were helpful and friendly. Free wifi in the room was fast and reliable, a great bonus.

I expected a swimming pool, and to be honest, it was nothing more than a large fish tank. I feel the website could mention that the "swimming pool" is circular and quite small, so that you can't actually swim in it. It's more suitable for dips and relaxing. It's a lovely little pool, but I was disappointed. I don't think calling it a swimming pool is helpful for anyone.

There seems to be a lot of junkies hanging outside the hotel at night.

The hotel is located very near to the Train Central Station. Convenient and easy to travel to places of interest.

I was charged for my booking (21 Oct 2011) on 27 Sep 2011 by the hotel. I checked-in at the hotel on 21 Oct 2011, the front desk staff told me that she couldn't locate my booking and then she created my booking as new and then asked for my credit card for charging. I told them that what- if I were to be charged for the purported lost booking by them, she said the computer system is smart enough to detect that and I will not be double- charged. When I review my credit card statement after my return to Singapore, I found that I was charged on 27 Sep and 22 Oct for my one night stay on 21 Oct 2011. This is unacceptable. I wrote to the hotel for refund. They have not replied. For this reason, until they reply, I will not recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Location to train station, appearance and condition of the hotel

Booking.com overview of this hotel said that it had a/c! It did not! We were high enough up (heat rises) that it was too warm in the room.

Very convenient for the city centre and Central Station. Room rate was excellent. Modern clean rooms with a good choice of free TV channels.

Nice room, good bathroom, opulent breakfast.
