Clarion Collection Hotel With  

This hotel has a perfect location by the harbour in Tromso -- and it has one other big advantage; all-day tea/coffee, afternoon waffles and a basic evening buffet are included in the price of the room, something to value when the cost of eating out in Tromso is much higher than, well, just about anywhere else I've been and certainly at least a third higher than London. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms well equipped. Get one with a harbour view if you can.

The service was excellent and innovative - I have never come across anything like a complimentary waffle buffet before! The staff were friendly, courteous, helpful, efficient and nothing seemed to much trouble, even when our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight. Your people are your greatest asset. I also loved the waterfront location.

The room was a little small with only one comfortable chair, despite being a double room.

The Clarion Collection is a fantastic great value hotel. Clean Rooms. Generous Breakfast laid out all morning. Courtesy Hot Drinks 24 hours. Courtesy Waffles in the Afternoon Courtesy Buffett in the Evening Staff very Helpful. I have stopped in the Waldof Astoria New York and I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay in this hotel far more.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff were great and extremely helpful. The buffet was superb and was one of the reasons we chose this hotel chain, we have been to their hotels in Trondheim and Alesund and the buffet is good there too. We stayed for 6 nights and were lucky enough to see the beautiful Northern Lights several times. The location of the hotel is great, everything you need is a short walk away including buses for Northern Lights trips. Our room was good, warm and comfortable with a lovely view of the fjord.The bathroom was lovely with a super shower. The room was cleaned daily and new towels available whenever you wanted them. We will certainly be using the Clarion Collection hotels again.

The food arrangements are supper, staff is very helpfull, location is perfect.

Staff were really friendly and helpful food was always good the eating area is a great place for meeting other guests and tea and coffee always available would definitely recommend it

The hotel staff very very friendly and helpfull, rooms although not as large as some others are perfectly adequate and always clean. The breakfast, afternoon waffles and evening supper made a huge difference as they are inclusive for the price and local cafes, restaurants are expensive (as is everywhere in scandanavia) We would recommend this hotel to everyone and it has a great position overlooking the harbour and within easy walking distance of all attractions. Although not connected with the hotel itself we would also recommend the Villmarkssenter as an option for northern light trips and dogsledding

Food, services and sauna was very good. I cannot see the northern light, but the tour in very cold winter was good experience for us.

It isa lovely hotel - really nice comfortable and welcoming feel, from the lobby, to the dining room and lounge, and the rooms. The breakfast, afternoon waffles, and evening meal were all great, and we loved the informal atmosphere. The location couldn't be better. All in all, a great place to stay in Tromso

Good location on Tromso harbour. Easy to find and very close to Airport Bus drop off/pick up point at Rica Hotel. Afternoon waffles / free beverages 24/7 / evening buffet meal included in the price offers great value considering the extortionate cost of eating out in Norway - just don't expect haute cuisine. Room was quiet but on the small side (as was the bed). Worth paying the 100knr /night for a harbour view

Room was rather small and the double bed was pushed up against the wall on one side. No headboard existed and the single wall lamp above the bed was awkward and ill suited to the task.

We were all so impressed with this hotel. Everything from the staff to the rooms to the food were absolutely fabulous. The staff were so helpful and helped us to organise our tours. We had two rooms, one over looking the harbour, very comfortable and clean. Food wise there was a good selection at breakfast, we also had supper which was excellent. The waffles in the afternoon were an extra bonus and became an essential part of our afternoon tes break!

No complaints what so ever. Perfect in every way. It you are going to Tromso you simply must stay here!
