“The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was excellent and the breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Free internet and the hotel was right in the centre of town.”

Located in central Tromsø, this waterfront hotel overlooks the Tromsdalstinden Mountain. Location is terrific - right on the harbor. It's comfortable, friendly, and the size is right for the location -- not a big tower. Feels like a friendly local hotel, not part of a large chain.

A well he Hotel Staff, especially the Reception Staff were helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Teir manner and overall hospitality left us with a very positive impression. The Superior rooms are well appointed, warm and comfortable. A few little issues with things like milk for the Tea & Coffee and never any tea spoons!! But not enough to make you unhappy

Location is ideal and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Unfortunately our room, along with half of the rooms, in the hotel looked on to a back alley, but on the other hand that meant half of the rooms looked over the harbour and fjord. Perhaps it would be better to emphasise this a bit better in the advertising of the hotel. I did ask if it was possible to change our room, but it was fully booked and there was no chance of changing. Whilst the room was very comfortable it was a little small and had very limited space for hanging clothes. An evening buffet meal was included in the price and although I did not expect anything special in this meal, it was the same every evening which was a little disappointing.

Having an evening meal included in the price was incredible value given the price of eating out in Tromso. the room was relatively big and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was very nice. Not the hotels fault but as the hotel is right beside the sea we found that the seagulls never slept, not even at 4am in the morning. But as we were tired anyway it wasn't a big issue. The location couldn't have been better, I don't think we could have been any more central in Tromso, the main tour pick up point which is also the airport bus stop was a 30 second walk, the tourist office was a further 1.5 minutes away and the main town area was two streets away. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.

It was on ok hotel but very basic and not what I was expecting. It felt like a real budget hotel so was quite expensive considering. Staff we're nice enough, and it was nice having food/drinks available. Food was basic though. The bedroom was very dated and my room faced a building directly behind...no view whatsoever.

Fantastic hotel. Very central location with view of harbour. Free evening meal and waffle making facilities - very important in expensive Norway! I strongly recommend that people stay here.

The Hotel had a very relaxed feel to it whilst the staff were very pleasant and efficient. The free afternoon waffles and evening buffet were great and this saved a lot of money as eating out in Tromso is very expensive. Constant tea, coffee and hot chocolate added to the relax feel. Great location at the harbour and very close to the centre. The cold evening food did not vary much over the week that we stayed there.

Good, helpful staff, prepared to go the extra mile. Warm, comfortable , quiet rooms, lovely views over waterfront and Arctic cathedral from front rooms. The tea and coffee available all day is very welcome. Inadequate hanging space and could do with another rack for second suitcase.

The hotel staff were absolutely marvellous. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were knowledgable and extremely helpful in our planning during our stay. The hotel condition and facilities were excellent and had the added bonus of providing an evening meal which otherwise may have made our trip considerably more expensive. Overall I would not hesitate in recommending the Clarion to anyone wishing to visit Tromso, nor would my wife and I hesitate in going there again.

Food was great. Waffles in afternoon filled you up until the light dinner. Location was fantastic, couldn't really get any better. We hired car for our trip. Driving in Tromso was really easy . Parked in car park of the clarion next door for a charge. Parking for this actual hotel was a fair bit away.

The service was excellent and innovative - I have never come across anything like a complimentary waffle buffet before! The staff were friendly, courteous, helpful, efficient and nothing seemed to much trouble, even when our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight. Your people are your greatest asset. I also loved the waterfront location. The room was a little small with only one comfortable chair, despite being a double room.

The Clarion Collection is a fantastic great value hotel. Clean Rooms. Generous Breakfast laid out all morning. Courtesy Hot Drinks 24 hours. Courtesy Waffles in the Afternoon Courtesy Buffett in the Evening Staff very Helpful. I have stopped in the Waldof Astoria New York and I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay in this hotel far more.

We stayed there for the Polarnight Run for which the location was in a superb location! The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved the afternoon waffles! Dinner and breakfast were very good, too. Great stay, good value for money.

The staff were all so friendly, and our rooms were spotlessly clean, as was the remainder of the hotel.
