Staff member came and chatted with us for about an hour

The hotel staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met.

The hotel is listed in Tonsberg, the hotel is about a 25 minute drive outside of Tonsberg.

The location was simply stunning. in a clearing surrounded by forests and a dramatic view of the lake.

I was a little surprised the breakfast was a do it yourself affair and in light of this it seemed a little mean that one could not store ones own food/drink in the communul fridge, given the lack of shops etc. around and the lack of choice and very high prices charged by the hotel.

Not as good as it appears in the photos - looked rather more like a youth hostel in real life. It seemed expensive for what you got (but that may be just my inexperience with how expensive everything is in Norway).

"Friendly" does not do the staff justice, the facilities were spotlessly clean, granted it was fairly basic but nothing could be faulted about the hotel.

Location- middle of forests, winter time access icy road is not a dream, approx. 10 km to the closest village. Breakfast selection is a very basic but enough for a quick start

The peaceful location, the idyllic scenery, the very friendly and helpful staff, the facilities - bar, annexe with tv and internet. Comfortable room.

Nothing, although just remember it is difficult to get to without a car (reccommend hiring one), although you can get a bus to a stop 1.6km away. Remember also that there is no restaurant facilities on site. Andebu is a 10 minute bus ride away and has a pizza restaurant (very good) and Tonsberg is 25-30 minutes on the bus.

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel, de ligging, afgelegen en toch goed bereikbaar. Eenvoudige aankleding maar met oog voor uitstraling en netheid.

Het ontbijt, het hoeft niet luxe, maar een plastic box met het kamernummer in de koelkast is te eenvoudig, temeer omdat het aangeboden brood eigenlijk alleen maar smaakt als het getoast is.
