We liked the friendly demeanor of all staff .Rooms were clean and hygienic. Our room faced the road in front of the hotel. It was impossible to get any sleep through Friday/Saturday nights as the nightclub outside had lots of noisy boisterous crowd milling about till 2 AM making it impossible to get unbroken rest .Will only recommend for people to take room away from road ,but thats not always possible. |

Good location close bryggen and harbour The room was smelling of cigarette smoke when i checked in. Next morning i had to ask the reception to change the linen as it was smelling too. Apart from that, the stay was pleasant. |

The location was very good. The room was clean and large. The staff were very helpful. Excellent shower and large bathroom. Comfortable bed. The couch was small and uncomfortable and the TV in the bedroom did not work. The laminate flooring had been badly scratched and looked dated however the remainder of the room looked OK. Where are the ice buckets kept and no ice scoops? People have to resort to using their hands to scoop the ice into whatever containers they could find. |

Great location near the harbour, fish market, funicular, airport bus stop; friendly staff; nice clean room; warm bread at breakfast We asked for a wake-up call which was not done; at breakfast tables were cleared but not cleaned of crumbs (this happened also elsewhere in Norway) |

The location was convenient for train, boat, and bus connections. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Non-smoking rooms are scarce, so we were placed in a suite, which was very nice. The breakfast area was not supplied with sufficient silverware and plates on either morning. Everything in Bergen costs 2-3 times the US equivalent. $350 per night was equivalent to $150 per night in US major cities. |

The staff was very helpful. Our room was delightful. Everything was clean and well taken care of. It was a joy to be there. The location was so close to the activies and shops that we could walk to almost anything that we needed. |

Convenience to the harbor and surrounding market and shops. Reception people could have been more service oriented. My requested 3am Wake up Call did not take place. Service in the Restaurant was very slow for the evening meal. Breakfast staff rather sullen and not happy with guests.Room was clean but one small piece of soap for two people to shower inadequate for a two day stay. |

The dowtown location that is near to the Bryggen touristic area. I did not like the hotel, they gave me a depressing room in the 2nd floor with a window that is blocked by a wall and a view to an interior backyard. No sunlight at all. The fare was an insulting cost of 330 USdlls. I requested a change and the reaction of the staff was disappointed and delayed. Of course I moved to another hotel. |

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was in a great position and perfectly placed for the city. Th main hotel was beautiful and had nice touches like free tea in the library. My room was very disappointing. Extremely small with a view onto a noisy air conditioning (?) unit. It was therefore very expensive for the quality of room. |

Hotel staff were polite and helpful. The hotel location was good, room was fine, bathroom and linen clean The service to the room could have been better, one day the bed remained unmade and tea / milk was not replenished. |
