First Hotel Marin  

Very pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast in the morning and the rooms are of goos size.

Friendly helpful staff .Convenience as situated in the historic part of Bergen. Warm welcoming hotel . Spacious room with comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom . Restaurant very good .

The contrast in patronage between the restaurant in the evening which was sparsely patronised and the breakfast the following morning where staff struggled to cope with the numbers .

Location was good and staff were helpful. Restaurant was good value and quality of food and service was better than expected. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably spacious.

We unexpectedly had to stay an additional day and got a smaller room at the so called "day rate" which was significantly more expensive than the one received via Booking.com. We asked for the rate to be matched and it was a case of take it or leave it. There may be better value elsewhere and perhaps greater flexibility

The staff were all very responsive to personal needs and made sure our stay was comfortable. Thank you.

Close to Bryggen and Floibanen.

Easy to find from the airport bus and centrally located to Bergen restaurants and bars.

The upgrade from standard to deluxe room was brilliant.

It was expensive but everything is expensive in Norway and particular in Bergen.

Location is excellent and there is a good choice of breakfast

Parking is very limited and access is difficult for anything larger than a hatch-back. The harbour views are nice but the area is very noisy and the room is not sound-proofed. Take earplugs if you select harbour view rooms. Harbour view rooms are also a long walk from reception and breakfast areas.

Non working lamp in the room, not very friendly staff, not very well organized breakfast.

Breakfast is very bad.

In the gym there was someone sleeping almost every day ( as they told us there were no roons available and had to put someone there to sleep ) I asked for a smoking room and gave me a non smoking room without informing us that the room was a non smoking room. I had to pay a fine for smoking 2 cigarettes in the room and without a warning. Just something printed that they placed on the table and was to late to see it. Furniture were old and beds extremely unfomfortable. We all had back pain after 2 days. At breakfast in 2 occasions eggs run out at 9.30 and did not refill. In general throught the staff was ok the hotel does not worth the price at all. I left 4 night before schedule

Hotel Marin was situated in a perfect location. The rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was nice with many selections.

The noisy dance club across the street with drunkin carolers at 3am...

Big rooms, excellent location

The hotel staff could be more professional - this relates both to the room service/room cleaning as well as the reception. For the price charged per night, a first class service should be offered.
