Oversized rooms. Good buffet breakfast. Extra space in rooms was wasted due to the room layout. Restaurant in hotel was 'different'. If you didn't like raw food, you were forced to eat outside the hotel. Room service menu was very limited.

Decent location, not too much money for a central Oslo hotel, good brekkie, friendly staff (but then most Norwegians are nice) Rather than the 'waterfall shower' (bit like a jug of water poured over your head) and the fancy lighting and b&o telly, they could have sound proofed the bathrooms / lift / window.

Quite good location near old theater building in 10 min walk from Karl Johan's gate. Girls on reception are very helpful and friendly. Room number was upgraded to loft because of my bday. Firstly I want to say that it's definitely not 5 stars hotel. Maximum 4, but really 3+. They charged sum twice and month later we still didn't get money back. They don't have gym - they have only small room with couple training devices, of course no spa. Restaurant with very specific raw food, but breakfasts were nice. Room service only by delivery, so be ready to wait simple pizza over 1 hour. And general impression of all hotel rather negative if keep in mind that they positioning themselves like 5* hotel. Even bed-linen was cheap and cause static electricity....

Dined at the restaurant and the food was excellent and beautifully presented. The rooms were lovely too as was the bed in particular Didn't have enough time to enjoy the facilities of this fine hotel owing to my schedule and while the 'rain curtain' dividing the reception and the restaurant was pretty, after a while, I found it annoying. Also the lobby was rather chilly (albeit that it was -17 outside)

The location was good and the bed was comfortable. This hotel markets itself as a five star hotel. It is not. When we arrived at 9:30pm the restaurant was closed so we couldn't eat unless we went for a walk in the snow to a takeaway around the corner. The hotel is very dark which, for them, may be a good thing because it hides the substandard cleaning. For example, one of the glasses in our bathroom had somebody else's lip marks on it. Also some of the dishes at breakfast were dirty. The hair dryer didn't work properly, only blowing cold air and staff were often not around to assist with queries like getting your electronic key cards recoded as we had to do a few times because the locks are "sensitive." If you order a coffee from the bar they'll direct you to a machine so you can do it yourself. Being five stars is about attention to detail, something lacking in this hotel.

Location. Every Friday and Saturday they host parties, the really loud ones. Think they show no respect for guests whatsoever. Also, that is not a 5 star Hotel...

Location, Bed was comfortable The service. We were on a romantic weekend. We has two small unscented candles in our room and were accused of smoking. The manner which it was handled was horrible. After a night out in the city and returning back at 4am we were locked out of our room and told by a totally unprofessional desk agent that we were not getting in with out paying a service charge of 1500 kroner. The desk agent said another guest smelled smoke therefore it must be us as we were the closest room. When we went to our floor the entire hallway smelled of smoke. We returned to the desk and ask her to come to the hallway and she refused. We were so angry that we checked out of the hotel 2 nights early despite having prepaid. We went to a new hotel on Karl Johan called Oslo City Center Hotel. It was less expensive, equally nice room and better located. We will never stay there again. I will never book a business guest there again.

The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Nothing really. Although shower was a little strange - it seemed very space-age but not as effective as a typical spray-type. Not a big deal though.

Nice interior, smooth booking and check in. Comfortable bed, and good supply and replenishment of toiletries (conditioner even!) I got stuck in the elevator on the 7th floor, when supposed to go to the 4th floor. The floor in the breakfast hall was soiled with broken glass from the evening before on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon the cleaning of the hotel room was not finished by 4.30 pm. The receptionist did not speak Norwegian well enough to handle our complaint over the late cleaning in Norwegian. The receptionist promised that the hotel would get back to us regarding the complaint over the late cleaning, but never came back on this. When evaluating the hotel, I mentioned the same points as here, and eventually, after a week, the hotel manager responded with the possibility for us to stay at the hotel once again. I do not want to stay at the hotel again, and the hotel manager has not yet responded to my reply on this, where I ask for a refund of my expenses connected to my stay. Now it is 14 days since I heard from the hotel manager. I think the hotels complaint handling system is not working.

Bed was really comfortable. Tub and bath room was really nice. Good location. Close to everything but far enough away to be out of the city commotion First day was ok, second day was disappointing. Could not find a place to sit to eat breakfast because all the tables had dirty dishes. However, the selection at breakfast was nice. My room was on the 5th floor and the music was very loud from the roof bar. Very hard to sleep until after closing time. There was alot of loud guests in the hallway also but theu quieted down after a while. I found the staff to be neutral at best. I would of expected more service and general politeness from them as this is a desinger 5 star hotel. I am hoping these are isolated incidents as the overall hotel is very nice. I would probally try it again but not reccomend to friends before I have a better experience myself

It was located very close to Karl johans gate, and in easy walking distance of Akker brygge. Staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. We were told our room was ready when we arrived, an hour and a hal after we should have been able to check in. On the plus side the receptionist upgraded our room so that we didnt have to wait. However the room we got was a bit dirty.
