Central location in a not very touristy area; good value for what can be a very expensive city.
Furnishings were rather tired; no coffee making facility.
great apartments, feels like home.
Location is superb. Situated in a quiet district, near royal palace and embassies, also close to everything. Convenient check-in and check-out by yourself (procedure was sent via email beforehand).
Living room is a bit small. Some people may not like the "self-service" style, where no staff will greet you on site.
The location was great and facility was clean. The instructions sent ahead of time were clear.
Much smaller than advertised. The double loft was no more than a crawl space in which you cannot stand upright. Since there was no place to put clothes or personal necessities, they needed to stay in suitcases and there was not place to put them. We were three adults staying together and the only bathroom was through the only bedroom (sorry, I don't count the crawl space "loft" as a bedroom.) I do not feel as it was a good value for the money.
Location was great as a city break accommodation and for Oslo Vinterpark!
There was only a curtain separating two double beds for two couples but we made the best of it.
Beautiful house, and the location was perfect. Plus to have washer/dryer especially since we stayed four nights and we only got 3 towels for the whole stay. I was also very happy to be able to check in one hour earlier due to my early flight to Oslo :-) I would put the beds on the upper loft in the room and make more space for comfort f.ex. bigger kitchenette, eating table etc.
The beds were really bad. Too soft and the double bed was in fact two twin beds put together (huge disappointment since the booking said double bed). I also thought it was strange to have the television hanging over our heads. Lack of towels and the floors were dirty. Check out time is 10 AM! No normal table and chairs for eating.
This one of the best places to stay at in Oslo, if not already the best of them all. It has all you need, Amazing location, Great sleeping beds, Clean, and above of all the customer service is perfect, they go beyond their duties to support you. Highly suggested for anyone looking for place to stay in Oslo, close to everything and safe.
Only thing I noticed is, the bath glass door in apartment 401 is broken recently.
As always, this is the best place to stay at out there, it isn't my first, second or third stay but over 6th stay here and I felt like I am at my home and not somewhere else. This is the only thing I can describe Villa Park as. I highly recommend to stay here strongly, even if you leave to the Airport for early morning flights, you can walk to Nationaltheatret underground train stasjon right in the corner of the Royal Castle, its about 4 minutes walk to the Nationaltheatret stasjon.
Room 401 Broken bath glass recently :(,
Our appartment had a run down appearance, the overall finish was unappealing. There was a big tear in the couch pillow so you couldn't really sit on it, and one of the glass doors of the shower was missing, which caused spilling on the whole bathroom floor. The absence of any staff makes it cumbersome to complain at the spot. Would not visit again.
Not well equipped for winter: bathroom not warmed; no place where to clean and dry snow off boots (we bought towels to put on the floor in order to dry pour boots inside the studio); floor warming was not strong enough and when we asked for an extra blanket we did not get it. Wd did not get small towels either, and there was no floor towel in the bathroom (we bought one ourselves). Also, no drier for the dishes in the kitchen. All in all, a very small room, and the details that make the stay easier were missing. We did not have a car, but noticed the extravagant price charged for parking a car in the otherwise large courtyard (250 nok, that is 30 Euro P.N., extravagant even for Norway price standars).
Great value, great location, and great size apartment with inventive use of the internal space. Good also to have some small consumables available (washing liquid / cloths etc).
Very good location, close to Metro station & walking distance to major attractions
Have washing machine but no dryer in our unit
Great location, spacious and comfortable apartment.
Hot water ran out 5 minutes into my shower. We were told it would take at least 1 hour to reheat. Rather difficult to wash long hair and shower in 5 minutes!
Fabulous location. The instructions we were sent for check-in were very comprehensive. A beautiful building. This could potentially be one of
The building is beautiful and the rooms are nice, but overall there isn't much warmth to the ambience - there are no staff available and there are so many notices about the place which just talk about rules and what you should and shouldn't do. There's even a notice telling you to put the hairdryer back on the hook or get charged when you leave. The cleanliness is just okay, but the bathroom really needs a bit of a scrub in the corners. It really is a beautiful building with a great location, and if it was just a bit friendlier and a bit cleaner it would be one of the best places to stay in Oslo.
The apartment was centrally located, it had all the kitchen equipment we needed (minus an oven) including washing up liquid, cloth, t towel. Nice large windows and great heating.
I didn't like how the TV hangs above our heads when we sleep. It would have been nice if there was complementatry coffee/ tea, shampoo/conditioner.
