Have to bring your own linen and towels. Relatively to rent this items expensive if you staying for 1 or 2 days.
The place is clean, spacious, convenient if you are driving.

No lift so getting upstairs with suitcases / ski gear can be a bit of a problem (there was supposed to be a ski store but there was no key). The apartment was a bit cramped - we had a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 of us which was the right size. It would have been very cosy for 4 adults. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped (no bottle opener / can opener) and the oven was excessively high up. Clean but decor was tatty and in need of a fresh paint with marks and some peeling paint.
Easy to walk to from the train station and ski bus stops straight outside if you want to get to the slopes on the other side. Great views from the little balcony.

No kettle and took a long time to work out how to use the hob (you have to have the pan on the ring)
Space and quiet and underfloor heating

Cooker located high up and no oven gloves so not the safest. No where to store skis and boots apart from inside apartment.
Use of facilties at hotel (short walk 35kr surcharge) and amazing location.

Reception hotel, with sauna and pool far away. Apartments hard to find. People often seen driving around looking for them! No signage. Staff couldn't give any information about Nordic skiing (this is Norway!) Shocked by how small it was when we arrived, but got used to it.
Close to town centre, easy car access. Chairlift very close by. Quiet. Good kitchen facilities.

There was nothing to dislike at all!
Warm welcome at the Usteledaan Hotel where you collect the key and then they kindly dropped us at the apartment. The apartment was wonderful, well equipped, fantastic views across the lake to Vestilia ski resort, short walk to the village, short walk to ski at the closest place or a 15 minute walk through the village to Slaata. Would recommend this accommodation to everyone. You could also use the small pool and sauna at the Usteledaan Hotel, ten minutes up the road. Basement ski locker where you could store all your kit securely. Our apartment was on the top floor, which was up five flights of stairs which might be a problem for some people but did mean you had the best view!

We had some difficulties with finding the place. It would also be great to have a Wi-Fi.
The apartment had 2 bedrooms, cozy living room with a flat screen TV and candles and a balcony (full of snow :-). Nice mountine view from the living room. We felt very comfortable. Friendly staff.

Frying pan was almost broken and took time to replace by a new one. No internet connection in the room. Though only 2 or 4 times, the train made big noise at night (this is the only noise we had). The ashtray in the veranda was not cleaned.
Big clean apartment with nice view, nice furniture, quiet at night. Reasonable price. Easy access to Hardangervidda etc. Close to the shopping centre of Geilo with some supermarkets and sports shops. Nice green surroundings with clean air.

Kind of expensive for what it was. Fees for towels, linen and cleaning the apartment should be made upfront before even booking the apartment. 100NOK per person for sheets and a towel for a 1 night stay was crazy; that's £20 for us both. We were constantly worried about doing anything as we opted to clean ourselves to avoid a 500NOK cleaning fee (£50!). Taking all those fees into consideration I might've just booked a hotel. The hotel that you get the keys from is not that easy to find, and when on foot with large bags in the sunshine, it can be quite exhausting from the station. There was a lot of dust in the apartment and the fact that guests clean themselves meant the proper cleanliness of the apartment was in question. It looked clean enough, but was it really the way you would get in a hotel? As seems to be the way in Norway, neither the beds, duvets or pillows had any kind of protective cover on them beyond the sheets you put on yourself.... You are expected to take your rubbish away with you, but there are no directions to any large bins that you can use. They should have a proper secure dropbox for leaving keys behind at the end of the stay. Cleaning products in Norwegian were a little hard to understand! No wi-fi available. Not great for views; or perhaps the upper floors might be better. Bedroom was a bit pokey.
If you like ikea then you'll like these apartments. Quiet and peaceful despite being directly on the main road; as no one else seemed to be around in the apartments. Felt very safe. Facilities were good; there was a nice bright, large bathroom and decent enough equipped kitchen; though had to boil water for tea in a saucepan as there wasn't a kettle. (there was only a coffee maker and it smelt a bit funny). Staff at the hotel where you pick up the keys were very helpful and drove us to the apartments for free. Location was ok; about 15 mins walk from the station and shops. Easily got out onto a really nice walk around the lakes and fjord for the afternoon. If you are going to get onto the Oslo/Bergen train as we were, then it isn't a bad place to stop off for a night.

The reception was at the hotel, not at the apartment building. We didn't know that this was a self catering apartment until we were there. As it was only a night stay, the hotel had kindly let us swap for a hotel room in their hotel building. To top it up, the kind receptionist gave us two rooms as we have two young children and the room was little small to accommodate 4. Nice personnel but building was rather old. But just for one night, I have nothing to complain.

The beds were not very good, too soft.
